You can change or add email addresses to your account.If you want to link your Gmail account to other email providers, like Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, and AOL, these may be the addresses you need.If something happens to your primary Google ID, these additional accounts can be used as a recovery or backup account.It's not possible to change your primary email or email address for your account.
Step 1: Go to the internet search engine's accounts.
Go to your computer and open any web browser.
Step 2: Go to your account on the internet.
Click on the sign in button if you need to access your account with your email address and password included.You only have one ID for all the products you use.You will be brought to the account settings page once you log in.
Step 3: You can see your primary email.
You can find your email address under the Personal info section.
Step 4: There are more emails to view.
To get to the email settings page, you have to click on your email address.The Recovery Email is one of the email addresses you have linked to your account.
Step 5: Emails should be edited.
There is a link next to the Recovery email.You can modify your emails by clicking on this.You can only change the Recovery email.Since this is your primary email, it can't be edited.The recovery email needs to be changed.You can change it by clicking on the link next to the recovery email.The Recovery email is used when there is an unusual activity in your account.Click on the button if you don't want to receive your recovery email anymore.The other emails are being changed.Click on the link next to the other emails to change them.You indicate that your alternate email addresses can be used to log into Google and recover your password.Click on the "Save" button to add a new alternate email address.There are as many alternate email addresses as you need.
Step 6: The new email address needs to be verified.
Email verification will be sent to the email address you entered.You can check for email verification by going to your email's inbox.To verify your new email address, you have to click on the link embedded in the email.Once done, this new email will be associated with your account.
Step 7: Return to the email settings page.
Only alternate emails can be used to remove an email account.Only emails under the Other Emails heading have an "X" icon beside them.
Step 8: You can click on the X icon.
A strikethrough will appear when the email is removed.The email address is no longer associated with your account.You can change it by clicking on the link next to it.
Step 9: All your changes need to be saved.
Once you have changed your email addresses, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
Step 10: The second account should be created.
If you don't already have a second account, you can create one.When you first signed up for Gmail, you will be doing this from scratch.
Step 11: Go ahead and set up forwarding.
You can forward emails from the second account.If you want all your messages from both accounts in one inbox, you can forward your emails from your primary account to your secondary account.The gear is in the top right.You can select settings.Go to the forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.There is a forwarding address in the "Forwarding" section.The primary email address is the one you enter.You will get a verification email.Open your primary email after you sign out of your new account.The confirmation message can be found.You can click on the verification link.When you return to your secondary account, refresh the page.The "Forward a copy of incoming mail to" option is available.The first drop-down menu should list your new forwarding email.In the second menu, choose what to do with your messages in the new account.You can save changes at the bottom of the page.You should be able to see the messages from both accounts.
Step 12: Emails can be sent from the new account.
Setting up the "send mail as" feature will allow you to send emails from the primary account and the secondary account at the same time.The gear icon can be found in the top right.Go to settings.Go to the Accounts tab.You can add another email address under Send mail.You can enter your name and email address in the 'Email address' field.One of the two options is to use the other email provider's SMTP server.
Step 13: You can choose which email account you want to use.
To send an email from your inbox, click "from" and choose the email address you'd like to send from.
