How To Charge Your iPhone without a Charging Block

The charging block that plugs into a wall sockets can be used to charge your phone. The easiest way to charge your phone is to use a cable with a port on your computer. You can use portable chargers to charge your phone. If you want to charge your phone, you must have a cable.

Step 1: Make sure you have a charging cable for your phone.

When separated from the charging brick, the phone's charging cable has ausb port at one end.You can use this cable to charge your phone. You can place your phone back-down to charge it with the wide, flat dishes on the wireless chargers.Without a cable you can't charge your phone.

Step 2: There is ausb port.

The majority of the ports on computers can be used for power. The ports that aren't connected to a computer are always powered unless they are broken. If you have an older phone, you'll need a port. These are not as common as theUSB 3.0 ports found on most computers. You can use a portable charge if you can't find a port.

Step 3: Plug the cable into the port.

Don't force the connection because the side of the phone's charging port should only fit one way into the port. You can plug in the charger's side in any direction if you're using ausb-c port.

Step 4: Attach the cable to the phone.

The bottom of your phone's housing has a charging port.If you want to use a wireless charging port or mat for your phone, place it back down on the charging surface. You can find these in public places if you don't have one.If you're charging an older phone, you need to make sure the rectangular icon on the base of the charging port is the same side as the phone's screen.

Step 5: Wait for the charging icon to appear.

The colored battery icon should appear on the screen within a couple of seconds of plugging in your phone. There is a lightning bolt icon to the right of the battery indicator on the screen.

Step 6: You can try a different port.

Not all ports have support for charging. If you can't get your phone to charge in a few seconds, you should try a different port.

Step 7: A portable battery pack is a good buy.

If you want to charge a mobile item to 100 percent multiple times, you can use a power bank and a cable from your phone to do so.Before buying the battery pack, make sure it's compatible with the phone. If the packaging doesn't state that it will work with the phone, it's probably not compatible. Most battery packs come pre- charged, so you can just walk in to a store, buy the pack, and charge in minutes.

Step 8: It's a good idea to use a car charge.

It's a good idea to look for a car charger that includes a port for the internet. You can put the cigarette lighter port on the back of the charger to put your phone's cable into. You should be able to find them in most retail stores that have tech departments, or you can search online. It's easy to charge multiple items with the twousb ports in many of the chargers.

Step 9: Try a wind- or solar-powered device.

You can find them in outdoor supply stores and online. The way most wind and solar chargers work is the same: you set it up to store power by spinning a wind turbine or receiving sunlight, and then plug your phone into it once it's full.If you live in an area with inconsistent power, wind and solar power are viable alternatives. Before attempting to charge your phone, check the documentation of the wind and solar chargers you use. You'll be able to charge your phone's battery to 100 percent within a few hours if you use one of the two chargers.

Step 10: A hand crank charger is a good investment.

Hand crank chargers can be bought online or in some tech department stores. The idea is fairly simple: plug your phone into the hand crank and then start cranking away.It will take a long time to charge your phone using a hand crank. If you're removed from a reliable source of power, this is a good option.

Step 11: It's a good idea to use a campfire charge.

The heat from your campfire can be absorbed by your camping pots and pans and turned into energy. If you want to charge your phone while you cook dinner, you can set the pot on the campfire and plug the cable into it.Your best bet is to search online, since outdoor supply shops such as REI and Dick's may have them.If you use this method, you are more likely to damage your phone due to overheating.

Step 12: Determine if you can fix the cable.

A pair of wire strippers and some shrink tubing can be used to fix the cable if it has a lump near the end. It's probably cheaper to buy a new cable if you don't already have shrink tubing.

Step 13: The casing should be removed from the area.

Use a sharp knife to make a hole in the cable and then cut around each end of the hole to remove the piece of casing. When you do this, be careful not to cut through the shielding.

Step 14: Cut through the damaged part of the cable.

Once you've identified the section of the cable that's damaged, you can make a cut through it.The cable will be cut in two pieces.

Step 15: Remove the wires from the metal.

Use the wire strippers to remove the protective shielding and expose the three wires inside of one of the chopped cable's ends, then repeat with the other end.You can use the wire strippers to remove the rubber shielding from the exposed wires once you've done this.

Step 16: The cables should be twisted together.

Using the bare metal wire that's exposed, connect the two parts of the cable back together by twisting the red and black wires together.Make sure you don't twist the colors together.

Step 17: Use electrical tape to cover bare wires.

To prevent the bare ends of the wires from touching other wires, wrap each connection in its own piece of electrical tape. For example, you can use a piece of tape for the red and white wires.

Step 18: The shrink tubing should be applied.

Now that your two halves of cable are connected and protected, slide the shrink tubing over the exposed area and apply heat to it to shrink it.The cable should be usable once the tubing has shrunk. This isn't a permanent fix.You should get a new one as soon as possible after your repair.

Step 19: Finished.
