How To Check IIS Error Logs on Windows

You can learn how to view the error logs on your computer and individual errors on the Windows operating system.

Step 1: The Start button has a white icon next to it.

There is a search button in the lower left corner of the screen.The search panel will be opened.You'll see a white circle if you use Cortana.

Step 2: You can search for event viewer on your computer.

As you type, you will see all the matching results.

Step 3: You can find the event viewer app in the search results.

At the top of the search will be Windows event viewer.In a new window, click on it to open the event viewer.

Step 4: On the sidebar, click next to Windows Logs.

The event categories can be found on the left-hand side of the event viewer window.Under Windows Logs, this button will expand the available subcategories.

Step 5: Under Windows logs, click Application.

There is a list of Windows application logs on the right-hand side.

Step 6: The Source column is at the top of the list.

According to the recorded log's source, the application log list will be put in alphabetical order.The source column has "IIS" in it.If you click another column, you can organize the list by any of the parameters.

Step 7: Double-click the log you want to view.

Double-clicking on the recorded log will show you the error log you want to view.
