There are two things on computers.Your hard drive space is what determines how many files you can hold. How fast your computer can run is determined by Random Access Memory. You can check if you use Macs or PCs.
Step 1: The amount of storage on your computer is known as physical memory.
Physical memory is similar to a hard drive in that it holds files and music.Random Access Memory is used to partially control PC function.Random access and physical access are the two types of memory.Check the physical memory if you're worried about space.Check the RAM if you're worried about speed.
Step 2: Go to "Computer" in the window.
In the bottom left-hand corner of your computer, click Start.Click on "Computer."
Step 3: You can check the hard drive on the left side of the page.

Step 8: Check "System and "Security" when you open the "Control Panel" in the Start Menu.
You can find the amount of RAM through the Control Panel."Installed Memory" is what it will be labeled as.
Step 9: Find your hard drive by opening up Finder.
