If you are told to clean your Waterpik, make sure your unit is unplugged.You can keep your Waterpik clean by wiping it down weekly, as well as cleaning the flosser before and after use.The dishwasher should be cleaned every one to three months.You can keep your Waterpik sanitary with these tips.
Step 1: It's a good idea to wipe the unit down.
Plug the unit in.The soft cloth and cleaner is mild and non-abrasive.Then rinse the unit with pure warm water.If you use your Waterpik frequently, do this as often as weekly.You can use a wet cloth with liquid soap.
Step 2: The dishwasher needs to be cleaned.
The unit has a reservoir.If necessary, separate the valve and set it aside.The top dishwasher rack has an open side facing it.The dishwasher needs to be run.The reservoir should be allowed to air dry.You can find your product manual at https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/product-support/manuals/.The black valve is on the Countertop models.The valve should not be washed in the dishwasher.Pressing on the bottom of the valve will remove it.The valve should be deep cleaned every three months.
Step 3: If it's applicable, wash the valve.
Under the warm water, hold the valve.You can massage it for 30 to 45 seconds.Set it to dry.Attach it to the dome side up by pressing it into place.The valve should be completely clean and dry before being reassembled.
Step 4: The flosser needs to beurged before and after use.
The reservoir needs to be removed.The flosser should be run for at least ten seconds.The unit should be turned off.There is a paper towel on the unit.The inner cavity and tubes can't air dry if the reservoir is sitting at an angle.The extra air and water will be removed.
Step 5: Run it through the flosser.
Take sixteen ounces of warm water and two to four grams of white vinegar.The solution should be put into the reservoir.Half of the solution should go out if you run the Waterpik.Turn the unit off.Put the Waterpik in the sink and let the rest of the solution drain through the handle.Every three months, Disinfect your unit with this solution.The solution removes minerals from water.The acids in vino killbacteria and break down grease.Diluted mouthwash can be used at a ratio of one part to water.
Step 6: The flosser needs to be cleaned.
The solution that is left should be run out.Warm water is required to fill the reservoir.Warm water can be run through the flosser into the sink.
Step 7: The reservoir should be left alone.
The counter has a disconnected reservoirs on it.If you place it on the unit at an angle, the internal cavity will be exposed.Allow the parts to dry.The next time you use your Waterpik, detach the reservoir.
Step 8: Clean the handle.
To remove the flosser tip, press the button.White vinegar can be put in a container.The container should hold the flosser handle.Allow it to soak for a while.Warm water should be used to rinse off the handle.The tip will be seperated from the handle.
Step 9: The flosser tip should be washed.
Press the button to remove the tip.The container should be filled with white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide.The tip should be soaked in the container for five to seven minutes.Warm water is what you should use to rinse the tip off.
Step 10: The tip should be replaced every three to six months.
