It's a great way to pass the time and blow off some steam. If there is dust or dirt on your spinner, it can slow it down and keep you from having fun.You will be back to spinning in no time if you know how to properly clean your spinner.
Step 1: The button cap can be removed by twisting it to the left.
Put your hands on the back of the spinner and hold the button cap with your fingers. You can expose the inner workings of your spinner by using your other hand to remove the top button cap.If the button caps on your spinner aren't threaded, you should be able to remove them with a flathead screwdriver.
Step 2: Take off the shield with a screwdriver.
You should see a bearing housing or shield when you remove the button cap from your spinner. To get the bearing housing out of the spinner, use a flathead screwdriver.A small slot can be found in the bearing shield when it is threaded. You can remove this type of shield by twisting the key in the slot to the left.
Step 3: The bearing needs to be pulled out.
You should see the bearing after removing the housing. The bearing is thicker than a washer. If you turn the spinner over in your hand, you will be able to remove the bearing. You can use a flathead screwdriver to get the bearing out of the spinner.
Step 4: The bearing should be soaked in alcohol or water.
A solution of water and dish soap can be mixed together in a bowl.Drop your bearing in the bowl and let it soak for 30 seconds. If your bearing is plastic, only use alcohol.Anything could cause your bearing to melt. You can remove the gunk on the bearing with a toothbrush by soaking it.
Step 5: Use a toothbrush to clean the bearing.
The bearing needs to be scrubbed from every side and angle with an old toothbrush. It's important to wear rubber gloves. Then, use the solution to clean the bearing.Depending on the severity of the build up, you may have to soak and scrub the bearing multiple times.Continue soaking and scrubbing until the build-up has been removed.
Step 6: Put your spinner back together after drying the bearing.
Make sure to turn the bearing over and around so that you can dry it from every angle, by using a hairdryer. It is possible to use compressed air, but it contains small amounts of water that could cause your bearing to rust.
Step 7: Put your spinner back together.
You can put the bearing back in the spinner once it's dry.It is possible to replace the bearing housing and button cap.To push it back into place, you may need to lightly tap around the edge of the button cap.If tapping doesn't work, apply firm pressure with your thumbs around the cap until it clicks into place.
