How To Close a Case on eBay

You can learn how to close an open case against a buyer on eBay.When a buyer on eBay doesn't send payment for an item after the bidding closes, or when a seller does not provide an items after payment is sent, cases are usually opened.

Step 1: Make sure you're qualified to close the case.

If you receive the product, you can close a case against the seller after four days.The buyer did not pay you, and it has been at least four days since you opened the case, so you can only close it manually.The buyer paid you using a payment method that is not supported by eBay, and it has been at least four days since you opened the case.

Step 2: You can open the website.

You can go to the website.If you are signed in, this will open your account's main page.If you're not signed in, click in the top- left corner of the screen and enter your email address and password.

Step 3: Click Help or Contact.

The link is at the top of the page.

Step 4: Click the Resolution Center after scrolling down.

The "Popular solutions" column has this option at the bottom.

Step 5: Find your case.

You can find your case in the "Your requests and cases" section at the bottom of the page.

Step 6: Click the button to take action.

There's a link to the right of the case.There is a drop-down menu.Click here if you're a buyer.

Step 7: Click to get fee credit.

It's in the menu.Click here if you're a buyer.

Step 8: You can check the "Yes" or "No" box.

If you haven't received payment, you'll check to make sure.If you're a buyer, skip this step.

Step 9: Click the case to close.

There is a blue button below the "Yes" and "No" boxes.If you haven't received payment, you should refund your listing fees.Click if you are a buyer.
