Proper hair styling can make a huge difference in the health of curly hair. The approach to hair with loose curls or ringlets is different to that of Afro-textured hair.
Step 1: There is a wide-toothed comb.
The bigger the gap, the better.Choose a comb that won't break against your hair.
Step 2: Treat with hair products.
If you have trouble getting a comb through, use one of these treatments before you start. If your hair is hard to brush, use detangling spray, coconut oil or olive oil.
Step 3: The hair should be divided into at least four sections.
Divide your hair into different sections and clip them together. If your hair is thick, divide it in half.
Step 4: Take care of your hair.
Each section should be combed with downward motions.Start by teasing out knots at the end of your hair. You'll rip the hair from the root if you get knots too hard.If your comb gets stuck, try to remove it with your fingers.
Step 5: If combing causes pain, wet your hair.
It is easier to comb wet hair, but it is more likely to break or split. If your hair is dry, wet it and try again. If you want to get better results, wet hair and apply conditioner.Leave for one hour.Remove conditioner. Then comb with a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt.When using a towel, do not use it on your hair.
Step 6: Remove hair products.
If you used oil on your hair, dry it with a dry cleanser.
Step 7: You can choose between a brush or comb.
A wide-toothed comb is used for very tangled hair.A paddle brush can be used for regular upkeep of wavy hair. The paddle brushes are usually square and have more bristles. As you try to untangle your hair, you need a larger surface area. The bristle material makes a difference, it's a strong, natural material that can be used to tame thick hair.Fine or fragile hair will benefit from nylon bristles. The brush has more flexibility, but it has less pull.If you have thick hair, keep the cushioning low.
Step 8: Section hair into quarters.
You have to separate your hair from front to back.On the left and right sides, separate them in half. The sections you aren't currently brushing can be secured with clips. If you have thick hair, separate into sections.
Step 9: The lower sections are where you should start.
The easiest way to start is at the base of the head. After you've worked through a section, leave it down and go to the one above, without the lower one getting in the way.
Step 10: Starting at the end, brush in downward motions.
Start by brushing the ends of the hair.Remove each knot or tangle with downward motions. From a slightly higher position, brush downward once finished.
Step 11: It is a last resort to wet hair.
Your hair is weak when it is wet.The outer hair walls are soft and full of water. It is possible that combing wet hair will make it easier to untangle. To avoid breaking the hair, brush very gently.A wide-toothed comb is safer than a brush when combing wet hair.To get rid of smaller tangles, more and more narrow combs are needed.
