How To Connect a Second Controller to an Xbox 360

Do you have more than one person wanting to play?After you've connected the first controller, you can learn how to connect a second controller.

Step 1: You need to connect your first controller to your console.

If you don't know how to use a wireless controller, you can read about it in How to Use a Wireless Controller.

Step 2: If it isn't already on, turn it on.

You can skip this step if your console is already on.The power button can be found on the right side of the console.

Step 3: If you haven't done that yet, put batteries into your controller.

There are some models of the controller that have built-in batteries and come with a cable for charging.AA or rechargeable batteries are required for other models of Xbox controllers.

Step 4: Press and hold the controller.

The large circular button is in your controller.Release your finger when the button starts to flash.The controller will be ready to pair.

Step 5: The console has a bind/connection button.

You will see it next to an icon.The bind button is located to the right of the memory card slots.The bind button is located in the lower right corner of the Xbox's face.There is a button in the lower right corner.

Step 6: Hold the controller's bind/sync button.

The controller has a circular button next to the icon.When you see the button flash a few more times, release it.The controller is connected to the console when the button is on.You can keep connecting controllers by repeating these steps.
