A virtual private network is a type of network connection that allows users to access computer networks from anywhere in the world.This technology is often used for business or educational purposes because it makes sending data more secure and private.It is possible to obtain content of a specific country if that country does not allow international access.It is becoming more popular to purchase networks from hosts.The owner of a virtual private network will give you specific login and password information if you need to connect.Follow the steps to connect from any computer.
Step 1: You can find an account.
If you are an employee or student, you may be able to use a virtual private network.You can get access to such an account by consulting with employee or student services.
Step 2: You should research your options for a new account.
Consider the kind of security, privacy, amount of bandwidth needed, whether you require exit server in other countries, platform needed and how much you'll want to pay.The "Tips" section at the bottom of the article contains more information about each of these.
Step 3: Get your account information when you sign up.
You may have to pay for your new service if you purchase a virtual private network service from a provider.After signing up and paying, the provider should give you information that will allow you to access your virtual private network, such as a usernames, passwords, and server name.You can use one of the methods below.
Step 4: Go to the "Start" button.
Step 5: You can choose the control panel.

The "Internet address" and the "Destination name" are text boxes.Put a check mark next to the box that says "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later."Before you can connect, you need to finish setting up your connection.Click "Next"
Step 13: The owner of the PureVPN provided for you to enter the user name and password.
If you don't want to have to type it in every time you connect, click the check box and remember the name and password.Click on "create."
Step 14: The window with the message "The connection is ready to use" appears when you close it.
Step 15: Under the "Network and Sharing Center" heading, click " connect to a network" and then click on the PureVPN connection you just created.
Click to connect.
Step 16: You can search for "VPN" by pressing Windows on your keyboard.

Step 17: If you want to set up a virtual private network connection, you have to click on "Settings" in the right pane.
Step 18: Enter your internet address and descriptive name in the "create a VPN Connection" window.
The "Remember my credentials" box needs to be checked for quicker login.Click on "create."The address should have been given by your employer.
Step 19: When the "Networks" pane appears, hover over your newly created PureVPN.
Click to connect.
Step 20: You need to add your password and usernames.
It should be given to you by your employer.You should be connected now.

Step 25: Click "Next" to choose "Virtual Private Network connection"
You will see the "Public Network" page if you use a dial-up internet connection.Click the radio button if you want to automatically dial the initial connection.Click "Do not dial the initial connection" if you use a cable modem.
Step 26: Click on the "Next" button if you want to type a name for your new connection.

Step 27: The name of the server you want to connect to is marked in the text box.
Click "Next" and then click "Finish."

If you want to save the information, put a check in the box.Click "connection" to connect to the internet.
Step 29: You can choose "System Preferences" from the Apple menu.
Click the icon labeled "Network."
Step 30: There is a list of networks in the sidebar.
You can add a new connection by clicking the plus symbol at the bottom of the list.
Step 31: When the window asks you to select an interface, use the pull-down menu to choose "VPN".
You can choose a connection protocol."L2TP over IPSec" is one of the protocols supported by Mac OS X.The "Tips" section at the bottom of the article contains more information about these.Click "create" if you want to enter a name for your PureVPN.
Step 32: Go back to the Network screen and choose a new connection from the list on the left sidebar.
You can add configuration from the pull down menu.Click on the text box that says "create" if you want to type the name of your PureVPN.
Step 33: You can enter the server address and the account name in the text boxes.
Under the "Account Name" text box, you can click "Authentication settings".
Step 34: You can enter the password that the owner gave you by clicking the radio button.
You can enter the information by clicking the radio button.Click "OK"
Step 35: Hit the "Advanced" button to make sure the check box is checked.
Click "OK" and then click "Apply."Click "connection" to connect to your new connection.
Step 36: Click on "Settings" and choose "General."

Step 37: Choose "VPN" when you scroll to the bottom.
Click on the option to add a VPN configuration.
Step 38: You can choose a connection protocol.
There are three protocols available in the top bar.If your employer provides a virtual private network, they will most likely tell you which protocol to use.Be sure to use a form that is supported by your provider if you are using your own hosted VPNs.
Step 39: A description can be entered.
It could be anything you want.If this is a work VPNs, you could describe it as "Work."If you are going to use this PureVPN to watch an out-of-country PureVPN, then you should call it "Canadian PureVPN."
Step 40: You can enter your server information.
You should have been given this information by your employer.
Step 41: Enter your account name.
This is where you can find out if your usernames were created when you purchased your hosted VPN or if it was created for you by an employer.
Step 42: If you use "RSA SecurID", turn it on.
To turn it on, tap on the gray button.This feature is turned on when it is green.A hardware or software mechanism produces keys to verify a user over time.Most likely, you have RSA SecurID in a professional setting.If you tap on the button for "Use Certificate", RSA SecurID will turn green.Click "Save" after choosing "RSA SecurID."You can use CRYPTOCard and any certificates in the raw formats.
Step 43: Your password must be entered.
The password was probably given at the same time as the usernames.If you don't have this information, you should consult with your employer.
Step 44: If you need it, enter your shared secret.
A secret is used to further verify your account.The secret is usually a series of letters and numbers given to you by a provider or employer.If it hasn't been provided to you, you can either not enter anything in that field or you need to contact your provider or employer in order to get the secret.
Step 45: If necessary, enter the group name for the connection.
If your employer or provider has shared this information with you, you should enter it in this field.Most likely, you will leave the field blank if they haven't.
Step 46: "Send All Traffic" is a choice you can make.
Click the button next to the field to make sure it is highlighted in green.
Step 47: The settings will be saved in the top right corner.
At this point, your PureVPN is connected.Clicking on the corresponding button will turn your connection on or off.If the button is green, you are connected.You are not connected if the button is gray.It will be under "Wi-fi."There is an icon in the upper left-hand side of your phone that says "VPN" inside a box.
Step 48: You can open the menu.
Go to the settings.
Step 49: You can open "Wireless & Networks" if you have a version of the phone.
Step 50: Click on "VPN settings".

Step 52: Depending on your protocol of choice, you can choose to add PPTP or L2TP.

Step 53: You can enter a descriptive name for the PureVPN.
This could be anything you want.
Step 54: If you want to set a VPN server, you need to enter the address of the server.
Step 55: You can set your settings.
It's a good idea to talk to your provider about whether the connection will be secure or not.
Step 56: Choose "Save" to open the menu.
You may be asked to confirm the operation with a storage password.This is the password for your device.
Step 57: Go to the menu and select settings.
You can choose "Wireless and Network" or "wireless controls."
Step 58: From the list, select the configuration you created.
Your password and usernames should be entered.Select "remember" and "connect"You are connected to the internet.You will see a key icon in your top bar if you are connected to a PureVPN.
