How To Copy a DVD on a Windows Computer

It is possible to duplicate DVDs.Do you want to make copies for yourself or someone else?Start with the first step.

Step 1: You can insert the DVD you want to copy.

Click the button on the DVD drive to open it.If you don't have a DVD/CD tray on your laptop, simply put the disc in the slot.

Step 2: ISO files can be made with a program.

An ISO file is a representation of a CD or DVD.Windows doesn't have a built-in program to make ISO files, so you'll need to download one.You could download Alcohol 120%.

Step 3: You can launch the image making wizard.

Click the image making wizard from the menu on the left.

Step 4: Select the drive you want to copy.

There is a drop-down list next to "CD/DVD device."You can choose the drive where your DVD is located.

Step 5: Name the file.

Click "Reading Options" and type a name for your image file next to the box.

Step 6: A location is indicated for your file.

There are two ways to do that.Either type your desired location in the box next to "image location" or click the folder icon to browse for the folders you want.

Step 7: You can choose an image format.

Click the drop-down list to find the standard ISO image file.

Step 8: You can save the file to your hard drive.

Click "Start."Choose a measuring speed and click "OK." Wait for the ISO file to finish saving.

Step 9: A new DVD can be inserted.

You can put a blank DVD in its place if you want.

Step 10: Select the file you want to burn.

Find the ISO image file that you just created.Click on the image file to burn it.The Windows application will open.

Step 11: You can burn the DVD.

Click "Burn" to choose the drive where your disc is located.Wait for the process to finish.

Step 12: Go away from the application.

When the burning process is over, your DVD tray will open and a confirmation message will appear.To exit the application, click "Close".You have copied your DVD!
