The Corkscrew Curls are beautiful.Curl your hair is the only way to get them if you don't have them naturally.A special trick is needed to do this. The thickness of the curler or rod is very important when curling hair. After you take the curlers out, what do you do with your hair?Curls can be caused by using the wrong thickness or combing your hair.
Step 1: Put a heat protectant on.
The heat protectant should be sprayed at least 6 inches away from your hair.Use a comb or brush to distribute the product. It is a good time to brush your hair if it is tangled.
Step 2: You should separate your hair into smaller sections.
Pull your hair up into a high ponytail.Don't tie it off with a hair tie.dents in your hair are more likely to be caused by a hair tie.You can put your hair on top of your head with a claw clip.
Step 3: Plug in your curling rod.
Choose a curling rod with the smallest diameter possible.Try to find one that is labeled for corkscrew curls. It should be smaller than your finger.
Step 4: There is a thin section of hair.
If you grab a section that is close to your face, it will not be thicker than the diameter of the curling iron rod.It can be on either side.If you have thick hair, grab a thicker section; if the section is too thin, you may end up with curly hair.
Step 5: Wrap the hair around the rod.
As you wind the hair around the rod, don't overlap it.Wrap it around the entire length of the rod, like stripes on a candy cane.Don't touch the rod with your fingers or hair because it will get very hot.If you are worried about burning yourself, consider wearing a pair of gloves. The hand that is most likely to get burnt is the one that wraps your hair around the rod.
Step 6: Wait 10 to 15 seconds and then remove the rod.
Depending on the temperature of the rod and the thickness of your hair, you may need to wait more or less time.Remove your hair from the rod after time is up.Once your hair is loose, slip the rod out and let the curl hang down.
Step 7: The next section should be moved onto.
Next to the first one, grab another section.Wait a few seconds and wrap the hair around the rod.You can either wrap it the same way or the opposite way for more movement.
Step 8: Next, let down the next layer of hair.
Remove your high ponytail and let down another layer of hair after you have finished curling your hair.Take the rest of your hair out and put it in a ponytail. The thicker your hair is, the more layers you need to work in.
Step 9: The curling process should be repeated throughout your hair.
You can wrap the hair around the rod in the same way or you can change it.If you alternate them, your hair will look more natural.Keep the strands horizontal.
Step 10: Use your fingers to loosen the curls.
This will make them look natural.Curls will lose their corkscrew shape if you comb or brush your hair.Cut your hair to the side for a more vintage look.A neat part can be created using the handle of a rat-tail comb.
Step 11: Apply the finishing product you want.
It's a good idea to apply shine serum to your hair. This will make your hair glossy and help smooth them down.Give your hair a light mist of hairspray to set the style.
Step 12: You can purchase a former kit.
There are strips of mesh or tightly-woven fabric in different colors in the kit.A hook that looks like a crochet hook or a latch hook will be included. The narrower strips should be used for this method.
Step 13: It's a good idea to brush or comb your hair.
The method is suitable for all hair types.Curling straight or wavy hair is a gentle way to do it.You can use curly hair to help define the curls. You can start with a blow-out if you have natural hair. This will help define the curls and give them a neater look.
Step 14: You have to separate your hair.
The bottom section of your hair needs to be gathered.Put it on top of your head and secure it with a claw clip.
Step 15: There is a hook through the curl former.
Select one of the narrower mesh strips. When the hook comes out the other end, slide it through one end.To get the mesh to fit on the hook, you'll need to flatten it.The mesh curl formers are shaped like tubes. They will open up if you squeeze on the edges.
Step 16: Remove a thin strand of hair.
You can take a wide section of hair from your face. It's best to mist it with water until it is damp, but not soaking-wet.You can start from the left or right side.
Step 17: There is a strand of hair on the hook.
The hook needs to be close to your head.Take it over the base of the strand.Make sure you catch all the hair in that strand.
Step 18: The hook should be pulled through the curl former.
The base of the strand is where the curl former should be.The strand of hair should be pulled through the curl former.Pull the hook away from the hair.
Step 19: If you want to go to the next strand, let go of the curl former.
It will come back into its corkscrew shape when you let go of the curl former. The curling process can be repeated on the next strand.
Step 20: Curl the rest of your hair
Let down another layer of hair when you're done curling the bottom row.The more layers you need the thicker your hair is.
Step 21: Allow your hair to dry completely.
This is important.Curls will come out if you don't dry your hair.If you're in a hurry, you can use a blow dryer and a cool setting. If you have access to a hooded dryer, you will get a better result.
Step 22: Take the curl formers off.
Work your way to the top by starting with the bottom-most layer. If you brush or comb the curls, they will turn fluffy and lose their shape. You can gently loosen them with your fingers.
Step 23: Use your favorite finishing products.
Use your fingers to apply shine to the hair. The handle of a rat-tail comb can be used to create a side part.If needed, set the style with a light mist of hairspray.
Step 24: You need to brush through your hair.
The method is suitable for all hair types. If your hair is curly, you can use this method to define it.If you have natural hair, blow dry it straight first.
Step 25: You can put the top three-quarters of your hair in a bun.
Use a claw clip or a scrunchie to secure it.Take the bottom fourth of your hair out. This is the first layer you will be curling.
Step 26: There is a thin section of hair.
Take a small section of hair from the bottom layer, close to your face. You can lightly mist your hair with water using a spray bottle, but not so much as to soak it.
Step 27: Wrap your hair around the curler.
You can use a straw, a strip of fabric, or a store-bought flexible curler.Next to your hair, hold the curler over the strand.Wrap your hair around your face.If you're using a store-bought foam curler, choose the lightest one you can find.Something around the thickness of a pencil is ideal.
Step 28: Place the curler over your hair.
Just like starting to tie a shoe, tie the ends over your hair if you are using a straw or scrap of fabric. If you are using a flexible foam curler, you should be able to fold the left and right ends over your hair.Flexible foam curlers have a wire inside, which will allow them to hold their shape.
Step 29: Curl the rest of your hair.
Let down another layer of hair after curling the bottom layer.Curl your hair in 1-inch sections.
Step 30: Allow your hair to dry completely.
This is important.Curls will lose their shape when you take them out if you don't dry your hair.If you're in a hurry, you can blow dry your hair using a cool setting. It's possible to leave the curlers in overnight.Keep the curlers in place by covering your head with a scarf or bandana.
Step 31: The curlers should be removed.
The straws or scraps of fabric can be untied. You will need to unfold it if you are using a flexible foam curler.Pick up the curling iron and slip it out.
Step 32: If desired, separate the curls and apply a finishing product.
Don't comb or brush the hair. This will cause them to lose their shape. To give them more volume, gently separate them with your fingers. If you want, apply some shine serum. It's a good idea to mist your hair with a spray to set it.
Step 33: Prepare your hair.
Start with damp hair and apply a leave-in conditioner. To distribute the product, use a brush or comb.Other hair types can also try this method if they want to.
Step 34: If you want, you can section off your hair.
This will help make your hair manageable. The rollers can be applied in rows or randomly. If you will be applying the rollers in neat rows, gather all of your hair, except for the bottom-most layer, into a bun.
Step 35: Take a small part of your hair.
Take the section from the bottom of your hair and put it on your face.It should be about 2 inches wide.
Step 36: You can hold a holding gel through your hair.
Hold a small amount of gel to the strand.Pull the strand taut with a comb.
Step 37: Attach the strand to the hair roller.
Wrap the end of your hair around the curler a few times to secure it.Wind your hair around the curler in a spiral, like a candy cane, all the way to your head. You can use a hair roller for corkscrew curls. If you can't find one, use one that is about the thickness of a pencil.
Step 38: The hair roller should be secured.
A clip or clasp is what most hair rollers come with.Lock the roller in place by closing the clasp. If you didn't have any, you could try securing it with a pin.
Step 39: Curl the rest of your hair.
Work in sections one row at a time.Start from the bottom and work your way up.
Step 40: Allow your hair to dry overnight.
If you don't dry your hair before moving onto the next step, the curls will come out.For about 20 minutes, you can sit under a hooded dryer.
Step 41: The hair rollers need to be removed.
Pull off the clasp first and then use the roller in the opposite direction to wrap your hair.Work your way towards the top of your head after removing all of the rollers on the bottom layer.
Step 42: To add volume, twist the curl in the opposite direction.
If you want to, you can.If you twist the curl in the opposite direction, it will fluff it up.If you brush or come through the curls, you will get frizz.
Step 43: If you want, you can apply some hair oil.
You don't need a lot of spray to set the style, but you can add a little hair oil to make it shine.Wrap a silk scarf around your head when you're going to sleep.
