How To Create Your First Qt Program on Ubuntu Linux
The cross platform application user interface framework works on the Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems.It is possible to create GUI's for your applications that will run on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.We are going to use the following steps to build our first program.You need to create a directory called QtHelloWorld in order to hold your program.If you don't have the software installed on your system, please read the following document for more information.The document presumes you have basic knowledge of the programming language.The design and functions of the Qt SDK are based on C++.Hopefully this article will clarify the issues between the two different versions of the Qt SDK.
Step 1: We are going to open up a terminal on Linux and use the following command to create a main directory for a Qt program.
It's called QtHello World.
Step 2: You can change your directory by using the following command.
It's important to make sure you're in the correct directory when creating your program.
Step 3: We are going to create a source code file for our program while we are in the directory.
The main.cpp file will be created with this command.
Step 4: Add the following lines to your main.cpp source code file.
