Crochet earrings are both quaint and fashionable.Since most earring patterns are so quick and simple, they're great projects for crocheters at any skill level, and you'll need to use fine yarn or crochet thread to prevent the earrings from becoming too bulky.
Step 1: There is a chain four.
Attach the yarn to the crochet hook with a slip knot, then work four chain stitches from the loop on the hook.
Step 2: There are two crochets into the chain.
Double crochet into the fourth chain stitch from the hook. When done, slipstitch the last double crochet to the top of the chain. The circular form of the piece should be developed after this step.
Step 3: There are double crochets around.
Chain three, then work two double crochet into each other. The chain-three was made at the start of the round.
Step 4: Remove the yarn.
The 8-inch (20- cm) tail is left by cutting the yarn.Pull the tail through the loop on the hook. You'll need to attach the piece to an earring hook before you can wear it.Don't trim the tail further than this.Attaching the circle to the earring hook requires a lot of excess.
Step 5: The earring hook should be tied to the circle.
The yarn has a loop on the bottom of the earring hook.To hold the crochet circle in place, knot the yarn around the loop. Before knotting it, draw as much yarn as you can through the earring loop. The knot should not be visible behind the crochet piece. The knot should be small so that it isn't visible from the front.
Step 6: You can weave in the ends.
The excess tails should be woven into the stitches along the back of the circle. Before weaving the ends into the piece, you should trim the excess ends down to a length between 1 and 2 inches.Attempting to weave too much excess into the stitches can cause them to lose form.
Step 7: You should repeat for the other earring.
The same steps are used to complete another earring.Attach the earring hook to the crochet circle and weave it in.The set is finished once you complete both earrings.
Step 8: A magic ring can be made.
You can make a ring with three chains.Attach a loop with the thread and hook it up.Pull the thread up from the ball end of the yarn.Set the ring up with three chain stitches from the yarn on your hook.
Step 9: There are two crochets into the ring.
The magic ring has nine double crochets.Pull the yarn ends away from one another to close the ring after making your stitches. To complete the first round, slipstitch the last double crochet into the top of the chain-three.
Step 10: A chain and single crochet are used.
Chain one, then work one single crochet into the same stitch as the previous round.Chain one, then work two single crochet into the next double crochet, repeat this pattern until you reach the end of the round. At the end of the round, slip stitch the last stitch to the first crochet.
Step 11: Work more chains and single crochet.
Work five chain stitches if you slip stitch into the first space. One crochet into the next space.Chain four, then single crochet once into the next chain-one space; repeat this pattern until you reach the end of the round. The last stitch should go to the first chain.
Step 12: Fasten off the thread.
The thread needs to be cut. There is an 8-inch tail.Pull the tail through the loop on the hook. You will need to attach the doily ornament to an earring hook before you can wear it.Don't trim or weave in the tail yet. It's necessary to attach the doily to the earring wire.
Step 13: Attach the doily to the earring hook.
There is a loop at the bottom of the earring hook.Attach the doily to the wire by knotting the thread over the loop.Try to make the knot as small as possible by pulling the thread taut. The knot should be hidden behind the doily and not seen from the front.
Step 14: You can weave in the excess.
The excess thread should be put into the back side of the doily stitches. The excess should be trimmed to a length between 1 and 2 inches.Since these earrings are fairly dainty, weaving too much excess into the stitches could cause them to become bulky and distorted.
Step 15: The second earring should be repeated.
Follow the same steps to complete another earring.Attach the doily to the earring hook and weave in the excess. The pair should be finished and ready to show off after completing the second earring.
Step 16: Attach the crochet hook to the thread.
A slip knot is used to tie the crochet thread onto the steel crochet hook. You'll need to crochet around the edge of a blank hoop earring in this pattern.Instead of building up a foundation of chains, you will move directly into the pattern stitches.
Step 17: The earring hoop has yarn on it.
Work one slip stitch over the edge of the metal hoop, positioning the stitch within 1/6 inch of one end. While directing the thread beneath the hoop, hold the hook over the front of the earring hoop.Pull the thread through the loop on your hook as if it was working over the edge of a stitch. This secures the thread to the earring hoop by completing the slip stitch.
Step 18: One crochet around an earring.
The single crochet was done around the edge of the metal hoop.Place the tip of the hook beneath the earring hoop. The earring hoop has a hooked thread.Pull the newest loop through the two thread loops beneath it if you want to.This is the first crochet.
Step 19: There is a single crochet around the entire hoop.
Continue to make single crochet stitches around the rest of the earring hoop, stopping at the opposite end.You may need to periodically push the formed single crochet stitches down the side of the earring to keep them even.
Step 20: A second row of crochet.
Attach one chain to the earring.Chain three, skip over one stitch from the previous row, and single crochet once into the stitch that follows.Chain three, skip one stitch, and single crochet once into the following stitch; complete the pattern until you reach the end of the earring.
Step 21: Fasten off the thread.
Cut the thread to remove the tail.Pull the tail through the loop on your hook.To hide as much as possible, weave the excess thread into the stitches.Remove any excess that cannot be seen.
Step 22: For the second hoop, repeat.
The same steps are used to wrap another hoop.Attach the yarn to the side of the hoop and crochet the pattern over it.The set is done once you finish the second earring.
Step 23: Chain 34.
Attach the thread to the crochet hook and work a foundation of 34 chain stitches.
Step 24: There are three crochets down the chain.
Chain three, then triple crochet into the second stitch from the hook.Chain one, skip a stitch, and work three triple crochet into the stitch that follows; repeat this pattern until you reach the last stitch of your foundation chain. You should notice that the piece is curling into a spiral shape as you work down the chain.
Step 25: Double and single crochet at the end.
Work one double crochet, one single crochet and one slipstitch into the foundation chain. The stitches should be put into the same chain. You should be able to see the finished spiral form by the end of this step, because these are the last stitches you'll make.
Step 26: Remove the thread.
Cut the thread and you have an 8-inch (20- cm) tail.Pull the tail through the loop on your hook. You need a long tail to attach the spiral to the earring hook, so do not trim it after fastening off the work.
Step 27: Attach the earring hook to the spiral.
The tail should be Threaded through the loop at the bottom of the earring hook. The thread needs to be knotted around the loop.As you tie the thread, keep it taut and only make a small knot. You should not see any unused thread between the earring hook and the spiral because the knot is visible.
Step 28: You can weave in the ends.
To hide it, weave any excess thread into the stitches at the inside of the spiral. Before weaving it into the stitches, you should trim the excess down to 2 inches. The shape of the spiral can be distorted by weaving in too much excess.
Step 29: For the other earring, repeat.
The same steps can be used to make another earring.Attach the spiral to the earring hook and weave in the excess. The set is done and ready to show off.
