How To Curl Bangs

Curly bangs add immediate flair to any hairstyle. There are many takes on the look. There are long, curled bangs in your hair, and short, curved bangs on your forehead. The vintage pinup bangs are right for you if you want something more chic.

Step 1: Make your hair free of tangles by brushing it.

Medium to long hair with long bangs is best for this style. If you plan on curling the rest of your hair, it is a great option.Your hair should be dry.

Step 2: You can create a side part.

The rat-tail comb has a handle.Take the part above your eyebrow and angle it back towards the crown.

Step 3: There is a section of hair on the other side of the part.

The handle of the rat-tail comb should be placed a few inches from your head.Take everything that is in front of it, and drag it straight down. This may include some of your hair. The rest of your hair should be tucked behind your ear.

Step 4: The section should be sprayed with a heat protection spray.

You can distribute the spray by running a fine-toothed comb through that section.Wait a short time for the spray to dry.

Step 5: Wrap the section around the curling iron.

The iron needs to be on top of your hair. While rotating the barrel backwards and away from your face, wrap the rest of the section around the iron.Continue until your hair is around the iron. The iron should be on top of your head.

Step 6: The iron should be pulled out and rolled into a pin Curl.

Wait about eight seconds, then loosen the grip and slide the barrel out of the curl.Curl it up on top of your head with bobby pins or hair clips.A pin curl is what you are doing here.

Step 7: The rest of your hair needs to be styled.

Curl the rest of your hair with a curling iron. This will give the pin curl time to cool.

Step 8: Remove the pins from your fingers.

Blending the rest of your hair with this will loosen the curl.Don't disrupt the side part!

Step 9: If you want, set the style with bronzing.

If you have good hair, you may not need this.If your hair doesn't hold your styles well, give it a light mist of spray.

Step 10: Remove your bangs and brush your hair.

Before you brush out your hair, make sure it is free of knots and tangles.Pull your hair back and secure it with a hair tie.If you have short hair, you can clip it out.At this point, your hair should be dry.The method works best on long bangs. It will cover your forehead with simple, curved bangs.

Step 11: Put a heat protection spray on your hair.

Wait a few seconds for the spray to dry and then use a brush or comb to distribute it.If you want more volume in your hair, you can apply a volumizing spray and heat protection spray.

Step 12: Put the brush under your hair.

The round brush should be parallel to the front hair line.It should be under your bangs.Put your hand over your hair.A thermal round brush can be used instead of a hair dryer.

Step 13: It's a good idea to aim a hair dryer at your bangs.

The hair dryer has a nozzle attachment. The hair dryer should be positioned so that the nozzle is behind the brush. It should be touching your hair. The nozzle should be oriented horizontally.Rest your hand over the bristles of the thermal round brush.

Step 14: Move the brush forward and back to blow dry your hair.

Pull the brush towards the ends of your hair.If you want your bangs to be curled, do this a few times.

Step 15: Use a fine-toothed comb to style your hair.

Attach the comb to your forehead. To adjust the strands, use your fingers and comb. The hair tie is holding back the rest of your hair.

Step 16: You should brush out your hair.

Medium to long hair can benefit from this style.Your hair should fall past your face.If you haven't already, mist your hair with a heat protection spray.

Step 17: The rest of your hair needs to be separated from the top section.

Use the handle of a rat-tail comb to gather a section of hair from the top of your head all the way down to your crown.Your bangs should also be included in this section.Pull the rest of your hair back and secure it with a claw clip or a hair tie.

Step 18: The gathered section should be split into two parts.

The upper layer should be separated from the bottom layer by using the handle of a rat-tail comb. The upper layer should be brushed back and out of the way.You don't have to worry about it mixing in because the rest of your hair is gathered out of the way.

Step 19: Curl the bottom layer with an iron.

If you want to smooth any flyaways, run a large curling iron towards the ends.Take the curling iron back towards you.Release the iron after holding it for a few seconds.

Step 20: On the upper section of your hair, repeat the process.

Take the section that was brushed back.Wrap the curling iron around the hair with a brush. The iron should be pulled towards the ends.Hold it for a while, then release it.The upper and bottom layers give you more volume.

Step 21: Curl your hair with a spray and tease.

Lift the upper layer up, spray the underside, then tease the roots with a fine-toothed comb.To divide the bottom layer horizontally, use the handle of a rat-tail comb.If you want to create more volume, you can repeat this step many times.Don't tease the top of the upper layer or the bottom layer.

Step 22: The layers can be joined together.

Taking care not to take out the curl or teasing, smooth them down with a soft bristle brush.

Step 23: To coil the section into a tube, use your fingers.

Follow the shape and size of the curl, and make sure that you roll it downwards. The hair should be on the top of the roll straight and horizontal.

Step 24: The tube should be secured with bobby pins.

Use your fingers to pull the ends of the tube back, then secure them with more pins.If the back of your head is at 12 o'clock, you would want the ends to be at 10 and 2.This will give the bottom edge of the tube a slight curve. You can use pins that match your hair color.

Step 25: Let go of the rest of your hair.

Your bangs are done.If you want a vintage look, you can wrap a bandana around your head or set them with hairspray. If you'd like, you could even blow dry the rest of your hair.Make sure that the folded bandana matches your outfit. The vintage look requires red lipstick, false lashes, and dark eyeshadow.
