How To Customize Your Android Home Screen with Widgets

Step 1: Go to the play store.
You can find the Play Store icon in the app drawer or home screen.The icon is similar to a shopping bag and has a Play button on it.
Step 2: You can search forWidgets.
You can typeWidgets in the search bar at the upper section of the screen.To find something, tap on the magnifying-glass icon.
Step 3: Go to the search results and select the one you want.
You will find a list of different types in the search results.This list will include all the things that are available in the Play Store.You can scroll down the list to see if there is one that you like.If you want to explore a widget further, just tap on any of them.You will be taken to the information page.
Step 4: You can download the widget.
Go to the information page and click on the green button.A small pop-up window will ask you to grant all the necessary permission for the app to run.If you click on the "Accept" button, the widget will be downloaded.Wait for the widget to finish installing.TheSuccessfully installed message will appear on your screen.On your device's home screen and apps menu, the app icon will show both.
Step 5: You can choose from a list of options on your home screen.
You can go to the drawer on the device.If you long-press on the downloaded or pre-installed widget, it will take you to your home screen.If you tap on the Menu button, you will be taken to the Add to Desktop option.You can addwidgets to your home screen.You can long-press a blank area on the Home screen and then selectWidgets from the options.Select the one you want on your home screen.
Step 6: Resize something.
Release your finger after long-pressing on a widget on your home screen.If there is a border around the widget, it means it is re-sizable.To shrink or expand the widget, drag the sides of it.The widget is not re-sizable if there is no border.
Step 7: You can change the settings of a tool.
Press and hold a button on your home screen, and drag it to the settings app.There is a screen where you can modify the widget to your liking.The only way to open the widget screen in some models is by single-tapping on it.
Step 8: Go from the home screen to another panel.
Press and hold the button on your home screen.Drag it to the left or right panel and then release it.
Step 9: The home screen has awidget.
If you want to remove the item from your screen, you have to drag it to the "X" sign at the top or bottom of the screen.As soon as the button comes in contact with the Remove tab, lift your finger.It means you can release it when the widget turns red as it nears the Remove tab.
