Is it the first time you have smoked a cigar? It's time to learn how to cut one. It's useful to know how to cut cigars for people at parties and celebrations even if you don't want to smoke a cigar yourself.
Step 1: To cut the cigar, choose the correct end.
The end of the cigar is called the head of a cigar. The foot is the opposite of the cigar's end.The head is distinguishable by the fact that it has a cap on it, a round piece of tobacco that is stuck onto the head in order to keep the wrapper of the cigar together. The end of the head is the closest to the logo sticker on the cigar.
Step 2: Take a look at where the "shoulder" of the cigar ends.
The curved end of the cigar is at the shoulder. The curve is still intact above the shoulder.
Step 3: Use your dominant hand to pick up the cigar cutter.
Step 4: Close one eye and place the cigar into the cutter in order to line it up.
Line it up so that you can cut above the shoulder of the cigar. It is better to cut too little than too much. You can cut more cigar off, but it's not possible to put it back on.It's better to be safe than sorry.
Step 5: Use as much force as you can to cut the cigar quickly.
Keep a tight grip on the cigar with your other hand and try not to let it move until it is cut all the way through. The key is quickness. You don't want the guillotine to tear through the cigar slowly. It's important to grab a sharp cutter. The sharper your guillotine, the better.Unless disaster strikes, you will never regret having a sharper implement.
Step 6: Get a punch from a cigar.
A hole is punched through the head of a cigar. There are three different types of cigar punches, one of which is a bullet punch that cuts into the head of the cigar. The Havana punch has a tip that can be fitted into the cigar head and draws out the tobacco plug after a cut is made.Multi-punch can be used to punch different sizes of cigars.
Step 7: Push the blade into the cap if you can.
Step 8: After the blade is inserted into the cap, you can cut a hole in it by rotating it.
The cut portion will come out as well.
Step 9: A v-cutter can be used for more draw on a cigar.
The cigar smoker will get a bigger draw by cutting deeper into the cigar.Sometimes the v-cutter produces too much of a draw, making the cigar smoke too hot.A good v-cutter is too big to carry with you.A small cutter costs as little as $4.00 and is the same size as any other cutter. The unwrapping of the cigar can be caused by a v-cutter not removing too much from the head.
Step 10: Hold the cigar in one hand and the v-cutter in the other, with the ends pulled open.
Step 11: Put the cigar in the cutter.
Don't wedge the head of the cigar too deep into the v-cutter, or the cut may be too big.
Step 12: The two ends of the cutter need to be squeezed together.
If you want to remove tobacco, tap the cigar on the ashtray or blow it into the wedge.
Step 13: A poor smoke may result from biting.
This method will work in a pinch. If you have a choice of a straight, punch, or wedge cut, opt for those rather than biting the cap off.
Step 14: Place your teeth the same way as the guillotine cutter.
Step 15: While rotating the cigar, bite a few times.
Step 16: The cap can be separated by hand or mouth after a few bites.
