How to Cut Without a Miter Box is a video about how to cut and install a Gyprock plasterboard.
For a reason, trim generally is installed with angled cuts in the corners of the saw. There is only one way to get that angle right. If you want to install trim without a box, you can use a standard circular saw to make only square cuts.Corner blocks can be used to form your corners.
Predrill four nail holes with your pilot bit.All the way through the blocks, put two holes, top and bottom. The holes should be offset just enough so they don't intersect.
There is a block in one corner of the room.Get it straight up and down by setting a small level next to it.The block can be secured with hammer trim nails through the two holes on each side.Use a nail set to sink the nail heads.Corner blocks can be installed in each corner of the room.
Use a tape measure to measure between the two corner blocks.Use a pencil to mark the measurement on a longer piece of trim.It might not be square, so don't measure from the end.Make one mark a few inches in from one end of the trim, then start your wall measurement from there to make the second mark.
Straight lines are marked at both marks. To make sure the lines are completely square, set a try square along the edge of the trim.
