Facebook contacts for your phone can get in the way of your contacts list.It's not possible to remove a Facebook contact like you can a normal contact, but you may be able to prevent Facebook from seeing your contacts list.If you choose, you can remove your Facebook data from your phone to prevent it from accessing your mobile data.
Step 1: Go to the settings app.
A grey gear is what the settings app looks like.
Step 2: Go to the app.
You can find Facebook in a bunch of related apps.
Step 3: The settings menu can be opened with the Facebook app.
From here, you can change your contacts and calendar information.To change contacts information, you must sign into Facebook.If your sign-in information is out of date, you will need to re-enter your information in order to access the Facebook settings.
Step 4: Next to "Contacts", tap the slider.
Facebook no longer has access to your contacts, so it should turn grey.You can turn off Facebook's access to your calendar from here.
Step 5: To confirm your success, open your Contacts app.
There shouldn't be any Facebook contacts here."Contacts" is a silhouette with colored tabs on the right side of the icon.
Step 6: Go to Contacts app.
The Contacts app looks like a human silhouette with several colored tabs on the right side of the icon.
Step 7: The group option is in the upper left-hand corner.
If you don't see a "Groups" option, your contacts are not synchronized.You retain contacts from different sources.
Step 8: The option is called "All Facebook".
There is a checkmark next to this option.The checkmark next to "All iCloud" will disappear because of this.
Step 9: To re-enable iCloud contacts, tap the "All iCloud" option.
This will make sure that your Contacts app only displays iCloud contacts.If you have contacts from other sources, make sure those options are checked before you leave.
Step 10: Return to the Contacts menu.
You don't need to see any Facebook contacts.
Step 11: Go to the settings app.
The settings app is grey.Deleting your account from your phone is a sure way to prevent future issues if you don't want Facebook to have access to your data.Deleting your Facebook data doesn't affect the app's access to your contacts, location data, calendar, and similar programs on your phone.It doesn't remove the Facebook app from your phone.If you want to reestablish your account, you have to re-enter your Facebook credentials.
Step 12: Go to the Facebook app.
In a cluster of related apps, you'll find Facebook.
Step 13: You can open the settings menu on the Facebook app.
You can remove your account from the menu.
Step 14: You should tap your name.
You will be taken to your personal account settings.
Step 15: "Delete Account" is what you can do.
You will be asked to confirm this step by Facebook.
Step 16: When prompted, tap "Delete".
This wipes out your Facebook account information from your phone.
Step 17: Go to your Contacts app and exit settings.
