The Fall Creators Update made it easier for people to use their computers. It's possible to convert your spoken words to text on Windows computers. You can learn how to use it with a program.
Step 1: You should be running the latest version of Windows.
It is not available on Windows 10 Creators Update and earlier in certain countries. You will need to use Windows Speech Recognition in that case.
Step 2: There is a text field.
Nothing will be written if you try and dictate outside of a text field.
Step 3: To start dictating, press Win+H.
A microphone and x are on the left and right of the screen. When it is ready, it will say "Initializing..." and then "Listening...".
Step 4: Say what you want to do.
If you say "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog", the text will be put into the field.Punctuation can be placed by saying the character (such as "Period" for ".")
Step 5: To stop dictating, press Win+H again.
You will be able to speak without other input being picked up, because the toolbar will stop picking up text.Click the X in the corner to stop dictating.
