How To Do a Quiff with Curly Hair

A quiff is a stylish cut for both men and women. It is short on the sides.Curly quiffs are becoming popular as they are styled with straight or wavy hair.If you don't have an undercut, you can still style your hair into a quiff.

Step 1: The undercut is the first thing you should start with.

This is where your hair is cut short on the sides and/or back, and left on top and sides.Adding some layers to the top of your hair is a good way to reduce weight. When you are getting an undercut, you might want to texturize your hair.Reducing bulk is aided by this.

Step 2: Get your hair wet.

It's up to you.You can take a shower, mist it with water, or run a comb through it.If your hair is wet, you should dry it off with a towel.

Step 3: You can apply your styling product.

Depending on what you want to do with your hair and how you plan on drying it, what kind of product you use depends. If you want to blow-dry your hair straight, texturizing or volumizing is the way to go.You can keep your natural texture if you use the gel.Use a comb or your fingers to distribute the product.

Step 4: Blow drying your hair is a good way to give it a sleeker look.

Pull your hair back as you blow dry it, then place the brush behind it.Blow drying the hair on the front and sides will give it extra volume. If you want a smooth finish, use a flat, wide nozzle attachment.

Step 5: You can air-dry your hair for a textured look.

Curls should be crunched with your fingers as they dry to maintain their shape. The blow dryer can be used to do this.If you have shorter hair, put it on top of your head.If you want to have longer locks, consider brushing them forward and covering them with your forehead.

Step 6: If needed, apply some pomade.

You want your long hair to be swept back over the top of your head.If the quiff isn't staying in place, rub a pea-sized amount of pomade between your palms.Work it into your hair with your fingers, or comb it through for a more polished look.

Step 7: It's a good idea to mist the style with a light mist.

You are good to go once the hairspray has dried.

Step 8: Your hair needs to be brushed out.

This style is great for long hair and will give you a quiff. You don't need to have your hair cut short.

Step 9: There is a section off the top of your hair.

The handle of a rat-tail comb can be used to create two side parts on each side of your head.Take the parts towards the back of your crown. The section should be large enough to cover your forehead. You can keep the hair out of the way by pinning it down with pins.

Step 10: It is a good idea to apply a hair product.

If you want to add a little more volume to your quiff, use a volumizing product, otherwise, go for something with good holding power. If you want to distribute the product from roots to ends, run a brush or wide-toothed comb through your hair. The gathered top section of hair is the only place you need to do this. The hair on the sides and back of your head should be left alone.

Step 11: Start from the crown.

Your hair should be brushed across your forehead.Take a horizontal section of hair and drape it over the back of your head.Working your way from back-to-front, repeat the process until you reach your head.As you get closer to the front, tease your hair less and less.It will give you a smooth finish.

Step 12: The pins on your quiff are the same color as your hair.

Place your quiff between the two sides. The quiff's height and width can be adjusted to fit your face shape. If you need to keep your hair in place, use the same color bobby pins.

Step 13: The hair should be slicked back at the sides.

On the sides of your head, apply some gel or pomade.Next to your ears, brush or comb the hair.Attach it behind your ears with pins.If you secured the sides of your hair with pins, take them out first. If you have long hair, you can pull it into a high ponytail.

Step 14: It's a good idea to set the style with hair spray.

You can add shine to your hair, but be careful not to use too much of it.It can make your hair look fake.
