There are tools for drawing shapes and lines on a slide in Powerpoint.To use free-hand pen and drawing tools, click the Review tab, then click Start Inking.Basic line and shape drawing tool is on the right side of the home tab.If you are using Powerpoint as an alternative to other drawing programs, you can export the slide to a number of image filetypes when saving.
Step 1: You can open Microsoft PowerPoint.
Microsoft has a free trial of the office suite if you don't have it.
Step 2: Go to the review tab.
There is a menu bar on the right side.There is a "Draw" tab for Office 365 users.The same controls will be included in this.If you don't see it, you may need to update your version of Office or the feature may not be supported on your system.
Step 3: Click on the option to start inking.
There is a new set of drawing tools located on the right side of the toolbar.
Step 4: The pen is used to draw free-hand.
The pen tool is selected by this button on the left.
Step 5: TheHighlighter can be used to draw transparent lines.
The pen tool with transparency acts as a thicker version, allowing you to ink over text or other drawings without covering them.
Step 6: The Eraser can be used to remove drawn elements.
To remove the drawn content, click and drag the cursor over other lines.On theEraser button, click the down arrow to select a thickness setting.
Step 7: Change the color of the tool.
You can choose from a color palette for different pen/highlighter colors.
Step 8: The tool thickness should be adjusted.
If you want to change the width of your pen/highlighter marking, you have to select the thickness in the "Pen" section.You can choose preset colors from the menu to the left of the "Color" and "Thickness" buttons.
Step 9: Click "Convert to Shapes".
Any shape approximations will be adjusted into the detected shape.If you draw a circle, you can adjust the lines to make it a perfect circle.The shape will be approximated by the number of lines drawn.It only works on shapes after the feature has been selected.Shapes drawn before clicking "Convert to Shapes" will not be altered.
Step 10: Click to select.
You can click and drag drawn items to move them around on the screen with this tool.You can draw a circle around the area you are trying to pick if you have difficulty.The tool only works on items that have been drawn.
Step 11: Don't Inking.
After making edits with the pen or highlighter tool, this button will select the "select" tool.The button will return you to the "Review" tab if no edits were made.
Step 12: You can use Microsoft PowerPoint.
The menu options and locations will vary slightly, but these steps will work with free alternatives.
Step 13: Go to the Home tab.
When working with a new document, this is located in the upper left.The drawing tools are on the right in the section labeled "Drawing".On Mac, the location is similar, but the section is not labeled.
Step 14: You can use a shape or line tool.
There is a list of shape and line tools on the left side of the "Drawing" section.On Mac, the tool types can be viewed by clicking on the shapes in the right side of the tab.To expand the list, click the down arrow.The "Scribble" line option is available from the list of tools.
Step 15: Click and drag to draw.
A line or shape will be drawn depending on where you click and how you release it.
Step 16: Design preset from "Quick Style".
This option can be found on the right section.Different color shadings and transparency settings can be found on the menu.
Step 17: Click on the arrangement you want to make.
This is located in the right section and will open a list of settings.You can manipulate how drawn objects overlap with options like "Bring to front" or "Move to back".
Step 18: You can use effects shape.
Three buttons, fill, outline, and effects are listed on the right side of the other drawing tools.To color only the outline of drawn shapes, the "Shape Outline" opens a list of colors.There is a list of graphical or lighting preset for shapes.If you want, you can apply more than one of these to a shape.These effects don't do anything to draw lines.
Step 19: Select "Save As" to open the "File" Menu.
You will be taken to an interface where you can name your file and choose a save location.
Step 20: You can choose an image filetype.
There is a menu to select filetype under the filename field.You can choose from a variety of image filetypes from this menu.powerpoint saves files as.pptx
Step 21: Click to save it.
A copy of an image will be saved to a location.If you are saving a file with multiple slides, you will be asked to choose between "All Slides" or "Just This One".
