There are a lot of ways to clean walls. You could use a lambswool duster, a broom covered with a towel, or a damp mop.Every part of the tool must be moved across the wall in order for it to be completely free of dust.Extra care is needed in the corners.
Step 1: The furniture should be protected.
Place a drop cloth on the floor.Pull furniture away from the walls.
Step 2: The broom should be covered with a towel.
Put a rag or towel over the broom head when the handle is pointed down. The bristles should be covered by the towel.Wrap a piece of string around the broom head to prevent it from falling off.If possible, use a microfiber towel.
Step 3: Dust the wall.
The broom head should be placed against a corner of the wall. The broom should be dragged along the wall in a slow, steady motion.Evaluate the section of the wall you just dusted.Run the broom along the strip if there is any dust left.
Step 4: As needed, switch the towel out.
The towel won't be effective at some point.Evaluate the towel after moving a third of the way across the wall.Shake it out over the rubbish bin if it's excessively dusty.Put it in your laundry basket and cover the broom with a towel.
Step 5: Dust can be removed from the rest of the wall.
Next to the area you just cleaned is the space on the wall. The broom head should be placed against the top of the wall and moved to a vertical strip.Continue until you reach the entire wall. When you have finished the first wall, move to the one next to it and continue the process until the walls have been dusted.
Step 6: Put a damp mop in it's place.
Put warm, soapy water in a mop bucket.Remove the mop from the bucket and wring it out.The mop needs to be moist to the touch.A sponge mop is the best type of mop to use.
Step 7: Move the mop along the wall.
You could start on the left and move to the right, or the other way around, but always start at the top of the wall. This will prevent the dust from the upper area of the wall from falling down and covering the area you already cleaned.
Step 8: You should move along the direction of the wallpaper seams.
You should move along the direction of the seams if you are dusting a wall that has wallpaper on it.This usually means moving along an up-down axis.If the wallpaper runs horizontally across the wall, the mop should be moved from side to side.
Step 9: A dry dusting head or cloth is needed for a flat head mop.
The mop head should be made of microfiber.Depending on the manufacturer, the process for changing the dusting cloth or mop head can be different. The process of moving the clips that bind the cloth to the top of the mop head is as simple as laying the new cloth over the flat head.Flat head mops have replaceable heads that slide on.The microfiber cloth is not abrasive.
Step 10: Go along the wall in a pattern.
You should move along the wall in a W pattern. In a continuous motion, start at the top left corner of the wall and move down and over.
Step 11: The wall should be washed with a gentle wash.
You can spray some water on a microfiber cloth after you have dusted the wall.Dust can be left behind if you wipe the wall down with a damp microfiber cloth.
Step 12: Use a dry dust cloth to wipe the wall.
Dust can be attracted and trap by using static electricity. If you want to move the cloth back and forth, place it on the wall. When you are done cleaning the wall, dispose of the cloth.
Step 13: Dust the wall with a lambs duster.
One of the best ways to dust walls is with a lambswool duster. The best way to use the lambswool duster is to place it in a vertical orientation in the leftmost corner of the wall and drag it across the other corner. As you move across the room, use a ladder.Pull the lambswool duster back across the wall in the opposite direction after dusting the first horizontal strip.A path just below the first.Continue until the wall is dusted.
Step 14: To clean the wall, use a vacuum.
Attach the wall brush extension to the vacuum. The wall needs to be vacuumed. The wall brush extension should be moved from the top edge of the wall to the base. This will allow you to clean the wall in a consistent way.A wall brush extension is a tube that goes from the end of your vacuum to the other end.As the vacuum tube moves across your wall, the wall brush extension will prevent it from being damaged.
