You can still use the At-a-glance widget in the Google app, even though it doesn't exist anymore.You can learn how to use features like the Discover tab and At-a-glance in the Google app.
Step 1: Open the internet.
The app icon looks like a multi-colored "G" that you can find on your Home screen, in the app drawer or by searching.If you don't have the app downloaded, you can get it for free from the Play Store or the App Store.If you are prompted, log in.
Step 2: You can discover tap.
The left-most tab in the menu is at the bottom of the screen.Weather, commute times, any scheduled events, and news will be displayed on cards.
Step 3: You can tap.
This is in the bottom right corner of every card.
Step 4: You can tap to discover.
This is usually the last listing.You have the option to not see stories from Microsoft Technology Bloopers.You can change who you follow in categories like Sports or Entertainment and you can turn on/off the card that shows commute times.
Step 5: You have to tap Done.
This is on the right side of the screen.Your feed should be updated with your edits.Every time you open the app, you don't have to go through the steps to personalize discover.
Step 6: Hold the screen down.
You will need an active account to use the At-a-glance widget.The only way to access the search engine within the app is on the phone.The At-A-Glance is not a tool that will give you access to the internet.Reminders or notifications for upcoming calendar events or flights and meetings can be added to thewidget.All you have to do is navigate left of your main Home screen page to access the cards and news you can find on the Discover page.
Step 7: There are Widgets that you can tap.
The middle icon is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8: You can hold the "At a glance"widget.
You'll find it under the heading.
Step 9: You can drag it to where you want it on the Home screen.
You'll be able to see the other icons as they move around.
Step 10: You can place the widget by lifting your finger.
"At-a-glance" will be placed instead of "Feed", but it will work the same way.
