By default, Windows Update is enabled.They will usually turn back on after a month if you paused them.If you have paused Windows updates, you can learn how to re-enable them.
Step 1: You can open your Windows settings.
The gear icon can be found on the Windows menu.
Step 2: Click on Update and Security.
The last item in the menu is usually the refresh icon.
Step 3: If necessary, click Windows Update.
You can see this in the menu on the left side of the page, but it is usually selected when you click.
Step 4: Click on resume updates.
You will see this if updates are disabled.This will allow Windows Update Services to continue.You can change when and how updates are installed.
