How to exchange diapers without a receipt?
A family member gave us a package of size one diapers for our three-month-old.How likely is it that a store would allow us to exchange them for the next larger size without a receipt?
Most stores will give you store credit if you exchange them. You don't have to show your license.
If you want to get another box in a different size, they might be able to do that. Was it on your computer? If your registry is current, they can look that up.They can look that up if you put it on your credit card. Some women were giving them grief because they were not allowing her to return some clothes with her receipt.I think the worker told her to exchange for the item in the diff. There is a size.I know you didn't buy them at Walmart, but I'm pretty sure they take them back.I was told that if I use my debit card to run it as credit, it can be traced in case I need to return something.
There isn't a problem if the package is open. You need a receipt to exchange baby food/formula but I don't think it's the same for diapers. You can call the store and ask.If the store they bought them from won't do it, call other stores, they will not know the difference, and if you can exchange them, go for it.
You will need a receipt if you need to return or exchange formula.I had to switch brands after I stocked up on formula, but I didn't want to keep the receipts. There is no problem with diapers.
You can exchange them for a bigger size if the package is not open. When my son was little, my brother/sister-in-law bought us tons of diapers to get us started, and we just took them back little by little when he grew out of a size.
It shouldn't be a problem since you are exchanging and not returning. If they don't let you, you can always check out what other stores carry the same brand, like Target or Walmart.
Most you can do is ask them, I'm pretty sure they'd let you.I had a pack of onesies that my boyfriend accidentally threw away and I was able to exchange them for a different size at Walmart, no problem at all.
