How To Explain or Defend Theism

Defending Theism is a discussion you can take part in.Many people who do so do more against debate and logic than they do for theism. This long-standing discourse can be contributed to by you.The defense of any belief is based on showing the weaknesses of the attack that attempts to remove all justification for that belief; we will show the weakness of a collection of attacks made against Theism.

Step 1: What is theism?

There is a belief in the existence of a god.It is not affiliated with any religion. If you believe in an intelligent being, you are a theist.

Step 2: Please request proof of their beliefs.

The challenger will argue that you can't be justified in believing in supernatural beings since Theism is a belief about the supernatural. It isn't justified unless it is a logical truth, quantitative truth or conclusion made by using the Scientific Method. They need to prove that those are the only sources of truth and that there is no other way to know something. You can be skeptical and they can't meet the demand, but usually all of this is skipped. If you want to take them back to what they assumed, you have to slow them down.If they know anything about the Burden of proof, this won't be a problem. They'll talk a lot about how reliable science is and that it is based on hard facts, and they will demand that you give any hard evidence for the existence of God or a god.Hard evidence is something that can be experienced with one of the five senses. You can argue that by looking at a number of aspects of our universe, including not just complexity, but interdependency, inter-related systems, order, balance, life dependent on life, and so on, you can build an argument that says that. The best conclusion is that there is an intelligent designer of it all and that it would have to be a prime mover.

Step 3: How could muck or salt water be the starting point for inter-related systems?

Simple life isn't simple at all: Why are there no cells without parent cells, for all observed living cell(s), and all with detailed behaviors, DNA,RNA, assembly line controlled by genes with precise genetic and epigenetic codes to self make oneself, self replicating of traits, chromosomesWhy did a single tiny cell reproduce that life form with thousands of chemical reactions within it?How did life start with a needed semipermeable protein-based cell membrane, with required internal cytoplasm, and with the use of digested material to build, grow and/or to have energy?

Step 4: Challenge the idea of what evidence is acceptable.

Their idea of hard evidence is supposed to give it higher value than other evidence. You need to show that your other experience is justification for your understandings. The experience of the deity is similar to someone looking at a rainbow.A friend who has never been able to see is demanding to know how it smells, tastes, feels or sounds. What do you have to say?Explain to them that it is not possible for you to get evidence for one of the five senses.Common experience and thoughtfulness might help you discover faith by science. You can say that theism is a matter of understanding and judgment, such as reasoning by a form of knowledge and information called faith. They are making an ethics decision to make that claim since they are saying that you are doing something wrong by believing without being justified.Supporting the fact and virtue of faith can be used to challenge the ethics of their epistemology. They decide what to believe based on their own judgement, you do the same, and have faith in someone that you don't usually experience with your five senses, resulting in scientific statements and theistic beliefs.Since their answer will be a person or people, you can argue that it's more important to have faith than not if you want to move into the ethics of epistemology. This will lead to a long rabbit trail. If you don't believe in an intelligent force or creator, then you're basically saying that your beliefs about the universe are not based on intelligence. This is not intended to insult, but to point out how important the ability to put facts together is when it comes to truth.Let them know that God is not a singular thing and that he has many different abilities. His intelligent capabilities are shown by the existence of facts.
