You can learn how to submit a request for an item that you lost in an taxi.This can be done from both the website and the mobile app.There is no guarantee that you will get your lost item back.
Step 1: You can open the ride-sharing service.
The app icon looks like a black box with "Uber" written on it.You can open the map view if you have an account with the ride hailing service.If you don't have a password, enter your email address or phone number.
Step 2: You can tap.
It is in the left corner of the screen.A menu will appear.
Step 3: You can tap help.
The pop-out menu has this option near it.The Help page will open with this.
Step 4: There is a trip and fare review.
This is near the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Pick a trip.
You can find the trip on which you lost your item.You might have to scroll down to find the correct trip.
Step 6: I lost an item when scrolling down.
It's in the middle of the page.
Step 7: Get in touch with the driver about the lost item.
The top of the page has this option.You can open the lost item page by doing that.
Step 8: You can enter your phone number by scrolling down.
Go to the text box and type in your phone number.If you don't have access to the phone with which you usually use, enter the number of a friend or family member you can quickly access should your driver call back.
Step 9: To submit, tap.
It's at the bottom of the page.You will be connected to the driver with the submission of your request.
Step 10: Wait for a response.
The call will be routed through your phone if your driver picks it up.Wait an hour or two and fill out the form again if you don't get a reply.
Step 11: You can negotiate your item's return.
If the driver confirms that they have the item you lost, you should agree on a meeting time and location.Once you confirm that your item was returned, you will be charged a fee.
Step 12: If you would like to submit an appeal, consider it.
If you don't hear back from your driver for several days in a row after submitting your number multiple times, you may have to take your problem to the taxi service.
Step 13: There is a lost item webpage.
If you're a member of the ride-sharing service, this will open a page with your most recent trip at the top.Click in the top right corner of your page and enter your email address and password if you don't already have an account.
Step 14: You can choose a trip.
Click the date below the "Select a trip" text at the top of the page to contact the driver.
Step 15: You can enter your phone number by scrolling down.
