How to fix a cracked nutribullet base with Magic Bullet.

The makers of Magic Bullet have created a self-contained personal blender that is easy to use.It offers a healthy alternative to blend food by breaking down ingredients in their healthiest states and has an electric blender base with a number of attachments.

I had a drug for 2 months. It was used about 10 times.I put the water in the container on the counter. It did not leak. The motor cap did leak when I put it on tight.Still had leaks, but not gushing out.I didn't know what to do if it did for a new unit.I immediately took it back.

The motor cap on my ninja still leaks even after I tighten it.What should I do?I don't like using the machine for small smoothies because of the leaking and mess.

I called the company that makes NutriBullet and let them know that this is my second leak.It was still under warranty. The part with the blades was sent to me.They wanted to charge shipping.I told them they had to be kidding. There was no shipping. The large number of complaints with the same issue is on the net even if it is out of warranty. It will be made right by a good company. The Better Business Bureau is located in the area of the home office. It's in California.I don't recall the city right now because I'm not home. The newer models don't have this issue.I bought mine at Costo.Costo listens. If the company wants to sell them again, they will consider the complaints.

The cup should be tightened to the base. You can replace the rubber seal with a new one if it continues to leak.

See the problem page for possible causes and solutions if your Magic Bullet is leaking.

The newer ones have rubber seals, but mine does not.Today I'm going to check them out in bed bath and beyond.

The seal gasket is the same color as the cap.I had to poke at it with a sharp object.I replaced the gasket and it still leaks.I wonder if a new cup is needed.

It should not leak.It does! There is a problem with the design.Turn something with liquid in it upside down with only a screw cap to seal it and apply a very strong force - the motor - it's going to leak.

This is a design problem.Unless Nutribullet comes up with a better closing device, the obvious will occur.

Smaller amounts don't give enough yield because they leak less. You have to make 3-4 batches to clean the machine.

This is not good for this age.We went to the moon in the 1960s and the space agey looking nutribullet cant produce a leak free drink. It doesn't seem to be fit for the purpose it was designed for.

This piece of equipment is very sexy.Beautifully designed and packaged, but what use is equally attractive?

It looks like any other blender if you put the screw cap at the top.Just about any other blender that has a motor from 600 - 900 watt can do the job as well and have longer running times if needed.

I will be contacting Capbran to try and find a solution to the leaking issue, but from what I'm reading online, it's not going to happen.

I wouldn't buy one again and would recommend a friend to get a good quality blender with a strong motor. The same job will be done without mess.

I have only had the Nutri 900bullet for a few weeks and it is already leaking under the rubber part.I want a good blender that does the job.Any ideas are welcome.People keep saying that it's a design fault.I don't like buying things. You think you've done the research, then you buy it and make a huge mistake. This is how I am feeling. What is the solution to the existing problem, and which serious blender do people here recommend?

After using it for a long time, my nutribullet has started to leak.I don't think ours has a rubber gasket like the one I read about. It goes to the bottom around the blade area.People say this is a design flaw.I'm wondering if that's true.

These things are poorly designed.I believe it's as good as this poor design can be, as they've selected as stable as possible a gasket material, but still, the prop cap has to be screwed on to an exact Torque rating in order to assure no leaks.Ambient room temperature can be a factor as you may be starting with a softer gasket, or a more brittle one, and will need to compensate your Torque accordingly. If the motorized base assy is dishwasher safe, this can not be a design flaw.I'm replacing mine with a good one.

The magic bullet 900 did not come with a rubber gasket.Customer service told me that every unit has a rubber gasket in the blade. My one never arrived. When I called customer service, they gave me a discount on a new blade assembly since the rubber gasket comes built-in, even though it was out of warranty. The area where the blade assembly meets the clear container has been leaking since I got it as a gift.I've tried everything to get it to stop leaking.I have had trouble getting the lid to twist off when I blend it.I've used less liquid.I've tried using a little bit of everything.I stopped using ice because it might have trouble Blending.Nothing has worked. You can see the liquid bubbling up through the blade cap as it blends and then when you take the unit off, it makes a mess on the counter. If I didn't catch it and stop it right away, it would bubble over and spray the walls.I hope this works!!

I bought a magic bullet. The first time I used it, I didn't leak.I have to hold it down in order for it to work. There are leaks all over the place.I was very disappointed with the amount of money I spent. It makes a great product, but if I have to clean up something, what's the point?

Don't buy it.Two months after my old one did the same, I ordered gasket which are hard to get on.It leaked so much that it killed the motor.I bought the more expensive one thinking it was just a problem with the old one.Nope, did it again. The time to return it had passed by the time I sent it back to the seller. It is a piece of garbage.

Once the blade is attached, I have found that turning the cup upside down and giving it a good shake stops the leaking most of the time.

Making sure I didn't put too much liquid in the cup stopped most of the leaking.Since the bearings rusted and froze up, you need a new blade.

My Magic Bullet has done it since day 1.I was not smart enough to return it when I could.I like it for small smoothies.I have been able to make a smoothie with frozen fruit, juice and water without leaking after I discovered that I had to screw it on tightly and only run it for a short time.It was leaking right through the motor from the blade cap.I put the motor away to dry out so I wouldn't be able to use it again for a while. Before I stopped it, I let it blend a lot longer.

The longer you blend, the blade cap loosens. After about 20 seconds, I usually stop and tighten it up.I am afraid of burning the motor out and not being able to afford more money, but I agree that this is way to much effort for the high expense of this tiny unit.It is difficult to limit myself to a smaller volume because I have a good immersion blender. The Magic Bullet size is perfect.

I agree that the gasket has to be a design flaw.Blending shouldn't loosen a tight cap.The only thing that works is the finneky practice.I hope my suggestions help others. Thanks for listening!Terry.

The base on the soup pitcher is leaking. They were nice, but wouldn't warranty the cup.A lost customer would not recommend the product.I have had blenders that never leak.

Not happy with the operation at all. They rely on the gift market for sales so no big deal to get China to make a quality product.

I apologized to my daughter for screaming because green vegetables was all over my kitchen because I thought she wasn't careful when she used mynutribullet.I am not happy with this purchase.I don't think it would be a good idea to recommend it to anyone.Suggestions would be appreciated.

Once the blade is attached, I have found that turning the cup upside down and giving it a good shake stops the leaking most of the time.

The problem was fixed by this.Put a small amount of vegetable oil on the tip of your finger and rub it around the jar.Don't put it on the threads.Put the lid on.Problem solved. The only time it leaked was when I forgot to do it.I learned this trick while working at a service station.A service station is a gas station where you can get service such as washing your car and checking your oil.We did oil changes as part of the service. We put a bead of oil on the rubber gasket to keep it from leaking when we changed the oil.Hopefully this will help some of you and save you money.Ted is a man.

The problem is that it should not leak. They need to get it resolved and then sell them.I have never made a worse purchase.

We don't use the Nutribullet very often because it leaks in to the motor.I don't want another Nutribullet to be used to blend paste ingredients and veg before cooking. It never appears to leak through from the cup and base joining area, but there is a dark liquid in the motor area when the unit is removed. It's disappointing that it takes so much time to clean the motor area with tissue and cotton buds to dry it.

My husband told me not to buy a Nutribullet, he was trying to figure out what was causing the leak.Terrible design.

If you need assistance with using the product or warranty service, you can contact the Customer Service Department. The day starts at 9am and ends at 8pmEST.The barcode/serial number is located underneath the Motor Base. Thanks!

Jose Rivera's response doesn't answer the question at all.Ifixit is not about referring to the manufacturer but about how to fix it.I've tried to get the manufacturer to fix their appliances.?

The manufacturer is able to fix their appliances. If they sell me a duff product, I consider it the least they can do.They're going to get a bad reputation if they don't.

The manufacturer shouldn't charge for a defect.Any parts and shipping should be free if the item is within the warranty. You don't have to worry if you buy the Bullet from Costco. When a store hears customer complaints, they stop buying from the vendor.

My old magic bullet did not leak.I bought another nutriti bullet after my first one leaked. It leaks even if I put the lid on tight.I rarely use it.I will never buy from them again. If you want to save money, go on Facebook and warn others.

I returned the first one to get a new one thinking it was a manufacturing defect, but the second one is leaking as well.I was glad to read your comments.
