How to fix a dishwasher with LC Error Code - Republic ofCode.Com.
The dishwasher needs to be reset. The error code is LC.The dishwasher stopped during a load of dishes. The dishwasher isn't usable.I tried to reset the dishwasher by pressing the buttons on the control panel, but it didn't clear the code. There is no water leak under the dishwasher.I want to know what this code means and how to clear it.The dishwasher is 8 months old.
The leak sensor in the dishwasher will detect a water leak if the LC flashing on your dishwasher is correct. You can clear the error code LC by removing power to the dishwasher. The dishwasher should be reset. The dishwasher may have an actual water leak if the error code is not clear.
The code LC or LE can be affected when the dishwasher bottom pan is damp or has some sort of water leak.
A water leak has been detected by the dishwasher sensor. The water reflector is blocked on the Waterwall model dishwasher.

Do not put too much detergent in the dishwasher. The LC code can occur if the dishwasher is overfilled with detergent.
If the dishwasher has water on the sensor, give it time to dry to clear the LC code.

To clear the error code, the dishwasher should be unplugged for 15 minutes. To reset the dishwasher, you need to allow the water or leak sensor to dry out and stop signalling the code.A small amount of water can be found on the leak sensor. The error code is displayed on the display when the sensor senses water. The pump will drain out any existing water if the code is displayed. If removing power to the dishwasher doesn't clear the error code, you can call for service.

My wife overfilled a pan of water on the edge of the sink, which may have caused the mystery humidity.
I had the code. The pan was removed and dried out.The code was still thrown when I reinstalled it.Water dripped into the cannon plug when I took it apart.I dried everything, including the plug to the Leak detector, after getting the hair dryer out.
The leak check sensor throws a LC code.It will run all night trying to get the water out of the system. As the components heat up, this is dangerous. Most people will set their machines to wash while they sleep.Any machine that continuously runs is a fire hazard.I have to turn off the machine. The sensor was put in a pan.The design is flawed.
Even if there is no humidity on the plastic, the LC code goes off.A float type valve would be more reliable for leaks. There is a design feature that limits how long the machine will run.
The LC sensor production has poor quality control. The probes are not straight. The LC code is thrown when there is no water in the pan.
The only solution I could come up with was to put two small washers between the LC sensor and the screw attachment. The LC code can be thrown if there is humidity on the bottom plastic panel. If there is a real leak, a LC code can be thrown and the water removal activated.
Thanks for the help Doug.If this happens to me again, I might call in a service tech.I think you are correct about a bad sensor design. The dishwasher has not been moved since it was installed about 10 months ago.I will make the changes you proposed with 2 washers if the code is thrown again. The dishwasher opening in my cabinets is tight so it can't come out easily.
I was able to fix the LC code using a hair dryer.I put the hair dryer into the drain at the bottom of the dishwasher to dry it out.If you don't wait for the machine to cool down, you'll get a code.I did not have to empty the dishwasher, turn off the power, or disassemble anything. The wash cycle worked after I cooled down.
I also had the LC code display on my dishwasher. When I tried to change the power for 15 minutes, it didn't work and I had to use nitrogen to clear the drain lines. It works like a charm.
The dishwasher has an error code and it is full of water. What are we going to do?Thank you, Jolanta.
