How to fix headphones where one side is quieter than the other? Right Earphone Louder Than Left.

When I play music with my earphone, the left side plays the sound louder than the right side, initially I thought it was the stereo effect of the song, but after I tried it with many other songs the problem reappeared.I don't know if that means there is something wrong with my earphone or it's a software problem. How should I resolve the problem?
Apple has released a new version of its mobile operating system, called the "iOS 5.0.1."

I had a problem with my earbuds, but they were in the opposite direction. It was fixed by turning on the mono feauture and centering the sliders between the right and left.It was expected that it would make the left earbud match the right, but it did not. When I turned off the mono feature, the left earbud was still loud, even though it was in stereo. It worked for me, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to fix it.

When listening to music on my Mac, my left earbud was louder than the right one.I went to settings and switched to Mono.Sound preferences were used to set the balance between earbuds. It worked after I switched Mono off. Both earbuds play the same sound.Weird.

Are you using the earbuds that came with it?I have an Apple device and I think this has happened with it.
