Mosquito nets are essential for camping trips and other outdoor activities, as they keep pests out of your space.Though they can greatly improve the comfort level of outdoor excursions, it can be a pain to fold and store efficiently, tempting people to leave them at home instead of facing the hassle of carrying them. You'll never leave an outdoor excursion without a mosquito net if you learn the proper way to fold it.
Step 1: The mosquito net has openings.
Before folding your net, make sure all of the openings are completely open. There are usually two openings on mosquito nets.
Step 2: Lift up the top of the net with your left hand.
While lifting up, grab the corner of the net that is closest to you with your right hand.If you want to get to the corner directly adjacent to it, push it away from you.The sides should fold inward when you pull up on the net.You can use this to help fold the net.
Step 3: The two remaining sections should be folded on top of each other.
You can grab the left and right sections of the net with one hand.Line up the edges if you bring them together. The four sides of the net should be on top of each other.
Step 4: Hold the net with both hands.
The left side of the net should be held with your left hand, and the right side by your right hand. The net may not fold correctly if you don't hold it in the right place. The entire length of the net is run by the horizontal zip line.
Step 5: The sides of the net should be squeezed toward each other.
To bring the edges together, push inward with both hands.Push the net away from you as you squeeze. The section you are squeezing in the middle of the net needs to be brought to the ground. You should now have three separate sections.
Step 6: Use your left hand to grab the outer edge of the left section.
Continue to hold the pinched section with your right hand.Pull the rest of the section in your left hand. The best you can do is line up the edges. To hold the other section in place, use your foot or knee.
Step 7: You can grab the top edge of the pinched section using your left hand.
Continue to pinch the net with your right hand.Pull the pinched section on top of the other two sections. To hold the folded part of the net in place, use your knee or foot. You should have three rings on top of each other.
Step 8: The folded net should be put into a carrying case.
The rubber band is around the mosquito net. Most mosquito nets are sold with a case and a rubber band, but you can easily purchase them at most outdoors stores.Make sure the rubber band is thick.Don't push the rubber band if it will not fit over the net.If you force it on, you could damage it.
Step 9: The mosquito net should be held with both hands.
Put your left hand on one side and your right on the other side. The net is parallel to the ground. If the net were hanging up, the long part should hang down beneath the round section.
Step 10: The left side of the net should be turned back towards you.
A single full rotation is required. The only thing that should move is your left hand.Your hands should be the same position they were before you twisted the net after you complete the rotation.
Step 11: Bring both sides of the net into the middle by pulling both hands inward.
The net should be brought inward so that the outer left edge touches the inner right edge.Make sure the edges are lined up the best you can.You should have three circles on top of each other.
Step 12: Place one hand in front of the net.
The folded rings should be held with the other hand. The hanging section should be pulled back under the rings.Wrap the net around the back of the rings. As you wrap the net, twist it away from you.
Step 13: The net should be folded using a thick rubber band.
The net will come apart if you don't store it correctly. There are rubber bands and cases for storing mosquito nets.If yours does not, you can buy one at most outdoors stores.Make sure the rubber band is large enough to cover the net.
