A quick and easy way to have fun is to make paper airplanes. You can fold different paper airplanes for different reasons. You just need to grab a piece of paper and fold it.
Step 1: Take a piece of paper and fold it in half.
An ordinary 8 12 in (21.5 cm) by 11 in 28 cm printer or A4 paper is the best type of paper to use.The book should be folded to begin. You can make a book fold by folding the paper in half. You can use any 8 12 by 11 in piece of paper. If you want to get the best results, lay your paper on a desk.Take the edge of your finger and fold it.
Step 2: The two corners should be folded down.
Take the top corners of the paper and place them at the center crease. There are two triangular flaps on top of the paper. The center crease should be a valley fold, meaning it points down and the paper lifts up toward you.Keep your folds in place with the help of the outer diagonal edges.
Step 3: The center crease should be folded over the top corners.
You just made a fold. The outer points of the triangle should be folded in.Go toward the crease. You will now have two isosceles triangle flaps. Two sides are the same length while the third side is different.
Step 4: The paper should be folded in half in a mountain.
Take your plane and put it in a mountain fold. The hot dog style fold is on the center crease. The flaps should now be on the outside of the plane.
Step 5: The wings should be folded down.
The straight portion of the plane needs to be on the bottom.Line up the wings with the base of the plane by folding them down. The small flat portion in the back of each wing should align with the base of the plane.
Step 6: The wings should be folded down again.
The base of your plane should be flat and you should have a flat edge at the top.To align your edges, fold the paper down.Again, fold your wing flaps down over your previous folds to align the flat portion that was at the top of the wing to the base. The base of your plane should be about 25mm tall. You can crease the wings with your finger.
Step 7: Take out the wings.
Pull the top layer of folds up to fan out the wings. There are two larger, flat wings on the top and a few smaller ones below.A long, narrow plane is ready for flight.
Step 8: Throw the paper airplane.
To test your plane, flick your wrist. The plane is perfect for a long flight.Throw your plane if you hold it parallel to the ground. You can keep the wings together by taping the nose shut.
Step 9: A piece of paper should be folded in half.
You can use ordinary 8 12 in by 11 in printer or A4 paper. The book should be folded to begin.A book fold is made by folding the paper in half.Construction paper, notebook paper and printer paper all work well.If you want to get the best results, lay your paper on a flat surface.Take the edge of your finger and fold it.
Step 10: Pull the top down.
Take 2 inches (51mm) at the top of your paper and fold it in a horizontal valley. The center crease should be aligned when you fold the paper.Make sure the flap is in place with your finger.
Step 11: The top portion should be folded down in half.
Only this time you will be folding the top 1 inch (25mm).The bottom edge of your previous fold should be aligned with this one.Make sure the fold is in place.Do a third horizontal valley fold. The top should be folded down by half an inch (13mm).Line up the edges again. If you want to keep the folds in place, you have to press each one again.
Step 12: The paper should be flipped over.
A mountain fold is when the center crease is pointing up.The last folds should be on the opposite side of the paper. To get to the center line, fold the top two corners.Take the top two corners and put them into the center. Both folds need to be aligned so they are even. You might have to play with folding the paper as the three folds you made might make it hard to fold the flaps down.
Step 13: The paper should be flipped back over.
A piece of paper will look like a house with a small triangle cap at the top.The folds you just made should be on the other side of the paper.
Step 14: The plane should be folded in half towards you.
In a vertical valley, fold your paper along the center crease. There are two rectangular flaps showing a triangle portion and a square portion.
Step 15: The wings should be folded down.
The wings should be folded over the flaps. The wings should be folded so the edges are flat. The folds you make here are at the top of the rectangular portion. The wings and the body of your plane will be created by this. The body is about 13 inches tall.Make sure the wings are on the same page.
Step 16: Take the wing flaps and fold them up.
Take a small amount of paper and fold it up into a valley fold. The fin on each wing will help the plane fly.
Step 17: The paper plane should be thrown.
The top portion of the wings should be folded up.Lift up your wing fins so they are in line with your wings. The plane has a heavy nose so you can throw it hard and watch it fly.The plane should be held parallel to the ground.
Step 18: Start with a piece of 8 12 in (21.5 cm) by 11 in 28 cm printer or A4 paper.
In portrait mode, position your paper. The left corner should be folded down in a valley.Go ahead and unfold.Go to the top right corner. The bottom right and bottom left should be done the same way.Portrait mode shows the paper is taller than it is wide. There is a triangle with a portion of rectangular paper at the bottom of the valley fold.
Step 19: A balloon fold is performed.
Pick up the sides of your paper and fold them in.Follow the folds you made to make a triangle shape. There are two flaps on top of your paper. Two more flaps of paper are creased in the center.
Step 20: The bottom corners of your top layer should be folded up.
Take the two corners of your triangle and fold them to meet at the top of the paper. This is another valley fold.A new top layer has two triangles pointing away from each other. The triangles form a diamond.
Step 21: The outer edges need to be folded into the center.
There is a larger triangle under your diamond. The outer corners of your triangle should be folded to the center. You can fold these sections of paper under the diamond by lifting up the flaps. The crease on the inside of each diamond is where the inner edges of this fold should meet.
Step 22: The plane should be folded in half.
To fold your plane in half, perform a vertical valley fold.To keep your folds in place, press all of your creases.Make sure the sides of the plane are the same.
Step 23: Take the wings down.
If you want your wings to align with the plane, fold them down. The triangle flaps need to be folded in the front. The inner flaps should be folded over the top edge of the wings. For the best results, make sure that your wings are even.Keep everything in place by craning your new folds.
Step 24: Fly your plane by fanning out the wings.
If you want to have two narrow wings at the front of your plane, Fan out your wings. The plane was built to fly far due to its narrow structure. To let it fly, hold it parallel to the ground and flick your wrist. If you want the best results, fly your plane in an open space.
