Step 1: You should upgrade to a Class E license.

Step 5: Medical and class completion documents should be uploaded within 90 days.

Step 6: You should take a defensive driving course.
This is the only course you can take before applying for a license.It can be scheduled through the Department of Motor Vehicles.If you want to learn about traffic laws and safe driving, you need to spend at least 6 hours.You won't have to do it again if you completed this class in the last 3 years.You have to take the class every 3 years to keep your license.You will receive a certificate after a week of completing the course.
Step 7: Wheelchair passenger assistance training.
The class will take 3 hours and cost $75.It can be taken from any of the approved schools.You will receive a wallet-sized certificate when you have learned how to handle passengers with disabilities.
Step 8: You have to complete the driver education course.
The class takes up 24 hours of your time.You will learn the facts every driver needs to know, for $175.You will be able to speak to passengers.The course can be completed in-person at any approved school.You have to submit your application before you can finish the class.When you're ready to take the exam, you may be able to start it before then.
Step 9: You must pass the driver education course to take the exam.
Driver education courses end with a knowledge exam.You can take the exam in person at the school where you attended the course.It will cost you another $75.To get a 70% or higher, answer 56 out of 80 questions.When your application is valid, you can attempt the test as many times as necessary.You can find free study guides on the site.
Step 10: Print out the form for the driver.
