How To Get Your Windows 10 Start Menu Back
All is not lost if you updated to Windows 10 and can't find your Start Menu.It is possible to get it back.
Step 1: If you have any right click options, check out the Start Menu location.
Pick Task Manager if you do.You can do the '3 Finger Salute' if you can't get to it that way.The Task Manager is one of the options brought up.
Step 2: If you want to run a new task, go to Task Manager.
Step 3: Make sure that the task is created with administrative privileges by typing in 'powershell'.
It is marked.This is what you will see.
Step 4: The system file checker can be run.
After the prompt, type in (or paste).It's going to run.It could be quick or it could take a while.
Step 5: Take a look at the results.
The problem may be corrected there.Go to the screens and read what they have to say.Maybe, take a picture of it.
Step 6: If you have the Start Menu back, restart.
Step 7: If that doesn't work, uninstall the Windows apps.
The problem isn't the apps, but it does fix it.
Step 8: If you want to start another task with administrative privileges, launch the Task manager.
Step 9: If you want to paste the following, type in 'powershell'.
Register "$Disable($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"
Step 10: Allow it to take its course and then restart.
The Start Menu should work now.
