You will need special materials and tools to make glitter wine glasses. You will need glass glue, Mod Podge or similar wine glasses, painter's tape, glitter scissors and cotton balls.
Step 2: First, sketch the design.
Drawing your design on a piece of paper will allow you to see what looks nice and what doesn't, and prevent you from making mistakes later on.It is better to get the design right the first time, since it is possible to clean off glitter and glue while they are still wet.glitter only to the base of the wine glass is a popular design for glitter wine glasses. The stem of the glass can be extended by 12 to 1 inch.Only the stems of the wine glass can be glittered.Use glitter to create an initial or number.Use glitter to create stripes on the entire glass. The glitter should be applied to the entire glass except for the top 12 to 1 inches. Two different colors of glitter are used to create designs.Have two colors blend into one another to create ombré designs.

The glitter will stick to the glass if you clean it well. You can use cotton balls dipped in alcohol to wipe the outer surface of the glass where you plan to apply glitter.Set your glasses aside for a while and let the alcohol dry.
Step 5: Put a thin strip of tape on your glasses.
Next, use painter's tape to cut a long thin strip. You can use a short strip if you want to apply the glitter to the stem.If you want your glitter to stop, place the tape around the wine glass.Make sure that the tape is securely attached to the wine glass. You could end up with a crooked glitter line around your wine glass. If you want to apply glitter to the base of the wine glass, tape off the stem and leave it exposed. The glitter will extend onto part of the stem if you leave 12 to 1 inches of it exposed. To apply glitter to the stems of the wine glass, cover the base with tape. The bowl part should be covered with tape as well.If you want to create an initial or number using glitter, you can use a glue stencil or apply the glue directly to the glass free-hand.To create stripes on the wine glass, simply wrap a long piece of tape around your glass in a spiral. There should be places between the edges of the tape.To use two or more colors, tape off the areas you don't want glitter on and apply glue to the first color. You will apply the glue and glitter for the next color after you have applied the glitter and glue.To create anombré effect, simply tape off the bottom and top of your design and work in the area between the pieces of tape.
Step 6: Place glass glue on the paper plate.
You need to be able to dip your paint brush in the glue to pour it onto the paper plate. To ensure that the glitter sticks, make sure that there is enough to coat each glass with a thick layer of glue.
Step 7: Glue the lower part of the wine glass.
Take your paint brush and dip it into the glue when your tape is secured. The glue should be applied to the lower half of the wine glass.Make sure that you apply a thick layer of glue to the wine glass. If you are worried about leaving streaks on the glass, you can use a foam brush.A foam paintbrush can apply paint more evenly than a bristled paintbrush.
Step 8: Glue glitter onto it.
Set the paint brush aside after applying glue to the wine glass.Hold onto part of the wine glass that doesn't have glue on it.glitter over the glue-coated areas of your wine glass if you hold the glass over your piece of cardboard.Continue pouring glitter over the glass until all of the glue-coated areas are covered in glitter.Excess glitter can be returned to the bottle when you're done.Pick up the cardboard, bend it, and pour the glitter into the bottle. If you want to do multiple colors of glitter, you will need to let the first layer dry and then apply more glue to the glass. As you did with the first layer, pour your second glitter color.
Step 9: The wine glasses should be left to dry.
You may leave the wine glasses overnight to make sure they are fully dry.The glasses need to be dry before you can finish them. After the first layer has dried, you can apply more layers of glitter.

Step 11: The glitter should be sealed.
You will need to use glue or a spray to seal the glitter. To seal the glass with more glue, use your large paintbrush to paint over the glitter. The glass should be dry for at least an hour. You will need to go outside to seal your glass if you plan to use a seal spray. The glass should be placed on a piece of newspaper on the ground outside and then sprayed with the crystal clear.Allow the glass to dry for at least an hour.
