How To Install Windows XP on an ASUS Eee PC Using a USB Drive
This topic will give you step-by-step instructions on how to install Microsoft Windows on an ASUS Eee PC, which comes pre-installed with Linux and has no CD/DVD drive.If you don't have a functioning CD/DVD drive, this guide can help if you want to install a new operating system.
Step 1: You can create a boot disc.
The files to your desired location can be downloaded from http://multiboot-usb.en.lo4d.com/.
Step 2: Go to the folder and double click it.
A command prompt box will appear.Press the key to keep going.
Step 3: Attach the drive to the computer.
An HP disk-storage format tool screen will open if you type H.To format the drive, follow the instructions.The Quick Format box should be checked.If the program can't find your stick, you can format the drive using Windows FAT32 format.
Step 4: You can change your drive type on the command screen.
To see the end of the line, type 0 and then press Enter.Then, type 1 and press Enter.You can find the path where you have the installation files on the CD drive.If you get a message about Winnt.sif, hit Yes.
Step 5: On the Unattended Install screen, enter your serial license key.
If you fill out the fields now, Windows will not ask you anything during the installation.

Step 8: You can copy the files from the disc to the stick.
When you get the message, "File Copy to USB-Drive is Ready - OK - Success", press Yes and press any key.
Step 9: Change yourBIOS preferences by connecting theusb stick to your Eee PC.
Press F2 on the first screen to go to the bios menu.Go to the Advanced tab and change the OS installation to start.To get to the first drive, you have to go to Hard Disk Drives > Boot tab.Make sure it shows your stick in priority.You can exit and save changes.
