How To It's a good idea to temporarily stop using an instagram account.
If you want to prevent others from viewing or searching your profile and posts, you have to temporarily disabling your account.There is no need to back up your pictures or videos as they will be saved privately when you decide to restore your account.You can't temporarily stop using your account from within the app.
Step 1: Go to the photo sharing website.
It can be found at https://www.instagram.com/.This will take you to your home page if you already have an account.If you don't log in, click at the bottom of the page and enter your password.
Step 2: Click on the icon.
There is a person-shaped icon in the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Click the profile you want to modify.
It's right at the top of your page.
Step 4: Click Temporarily disabling my account.
There is a link on the right side of the page.
Step 5: There is a reason for disabling your account.
Click the box to the right of "Why are you disabling your account?"Click a reason after heading.
Step 6: Enter your password.
To continue, please re-enter your password, you'll have to do this in the box to the right.
Step 7: Click Temporarily Deleting Account.
There is a button at the bottom of the page.
Step 8: When prompted, click OK.
Signing you out of your account on all your linked devices will be disabled if you do that.
Step 9: You can log in to the photo sharing service.
If you log in using your usernames and passwords, your account will be reactivated.You will need to log in to each of your devices if you log on to the website.
