It takes a lot of time and effort to carve a pumpkin. When Hallow's Eve comes to a close, many people get frustrated because their work of art starts to mold. There are several ways to keep your pumpkins mold-free after Halloween.
Step 1: There are packets ofsilica gel.
Desiccant is a term used to mean that it wicks away excess water. What causes your pumpkin to rot? There is excess humidity. The two are an effective combination.Take a look at your closet or drawers to make sure you didn't leave any lying around from recent purchases. If you can't find it, packets of silica are available in bulk for very economical prices online.Cat litter and shoe boxes are the most popular items with smil packets.
Step 2: They should remove the beads from the packets.
Don't leave any lying around for your pets because sometimes manufacturers add other toxic chemicals to the product.
Step 3: The pumpkin should be put into it's own container.
The pumpkin should be removed.Take a bead and put it in the pumpkin. The bead shouldn't be put in so far that it changes the pumpkin's appearance. When applying the beads, use a quarter of a gram for every 100 inches of pumpkin.
Step 4: If you want to dunk the pumpkin into the water, you have to mix bleach with water.
Depending on the size of the pumpkin, you'll need a vat and a good amount of bleach and water. The idea is that bleach and water will help the pumpkin's skin by hydrating it.
Step 5: The bleach solution will cover the pumpkin.
The pumpkin should be soaked in the bleach solution for 8 hours.
Step 6: pat the pumpkin dry with paper towels or sponges after it has been removed from the bleach solution.
Step 7: The bleach solution is good for the pumpkin.
The bleach solution used to treat the pumpkin initially can be sprayed on the outside and inside. After spraying, make sure to soak up any excess water. It is the ally of mold.
Step 8: Purchase a pumpkin Preservative
Pumpkin Fresh is available online and in Halloween specialty stores.Pumpkins may contain water, aborate decahydrate, and/or sodium benzoate. They act as fungicides.
Step 9: The pumpkin can be sprayed with the preservative or dunked into it.
Dunking may be more durable than spraying. If you dunk the pumpkin, be sure to pat it dry.Remember where the mold hits.
Step 10: Every day, spray the pumpkin.
If you want to fight off mold and decay, spray the outside and inside with the preservative.Pumpkins are mold-free for up to 14 days.
Step 11: White glue can be used to preserve a pumpkin.
White glue is supposed to create a seal around the pumpkin, preventing it from getting mold.White glue is the cause of the pumpkin's demise.
Step 12: Do not use a liquid to preserve a pumpkin.
The pumpkin is supposed to be kept from dehydrating by the use of petroleum jelly. This method makes the production of mold more difficult.
Step 13: Don't use spray to preserve pumpkins.
This method is supposed to create a barrier to keep out mold. The idea is better than the execution because pumpkins that aren't treated do not last as long.
