Step 4: Attach the lines to the valves.
You can buy hosing lines from any store that sells home repair or water heating equipment.The hosing lines need to be long enough to reach between the water heater and bucket.You can either consult the manual provided by the manufacturer or contact them directly for exact instructions.In some cases, this procedure may require you to use a sump pump and connect hoses that will discharge and flush water from the tankless water heater using the cold and hot water valves.
Step 5: You can open the purge port valves by twisting them.
Step 6: 2.5 gallons (9.46 liters) of white vinegar can be used to clean your water heating system.
Chemical cleaning solutions may be harmful to your health since they are most likely the source of all your drinking water and bathing water.
Step 7: If you follow the directions provided by the manufacturer, you can perform the flushing and draining procedure.
The procedure can take up to 45 minutes.
Step 8: The purge port valves can be closed by twisting the "T"-shaped handles.
Step 9: Remove the hosing lines from the water valves.
Step 10: The purge port valve caps should be replaced.
The rubber seals are located inside the caps.
Step 11: Refer to the manufacturer's manual for instructions on how to safely restart your water heater.
The procedure requires you to open the cold and hot water valves to make sure they are parallel to the main valve that leads into the house.
Step 12: The air can pass through the pipe if the hot water tap is turned on slowly.
