How To Make a French Braid Headband

A French braid headband is what it sounds like.French braid a small section of hair on the front of the head and use it as a headband to keep your hair out of your face.There is a way to do this cute and simple style.

Step 1: Learn how to braid.

The methods covered in this article will not be extensively covered.

Step 2: Start with clean hair.

It works best with dry hair if you have straight or wavy hair.If you have curly hair that can't be brushed, try braiding it wet.The hair has a tendency to snap when wet, so be very gentle.

Step 3: You should cut your hair to either side.

You can do a French braid on both sides if you part it down the middle.

Step 4: You can use a comb, pencil, or a makeup brush to create a part for the hair you want to wear in the headband.

Make sure to have a nice rectangular section of hair back on the part.The larger section of hair is going to be braided.If you're going to put your hair up into a bun or ponytail, end about two inches above your ear and move forward to create a nice right corner.End at your ear if you are going to wear your hair down.

Step 5: The majority of the hair will be put into a ponytail or clip.

Don't let it get in the way while you're braiding.If you're going to wear your hair down, use a loose ponytail.

Step 6: Start French braiding.

Separating it into three pieces starts at the part section.Go right over the center.Add some hair to the strand that used to be the rightmost strand.The center should be crossed the leftmost.Add some hair to the strand that used to be the leftmost strand.

Step 7: Continue until you have used all the hair in the braid.

When you're done with that, braid the rest of the hair and secure it with an elastic.

Step 8: It needs to be finished up.

You can braid the hair on the other side of your part at this point.Ponytail: Gather your hair into a ponytail, including the braid(s).If the braid becomes bumpy when you put it up, try twisting or pinning it.You're done if you secure your ponytail with an elastic.It can be turned into a bun.Wrap the tail around the base of the ponytail.To hold the bun place, pin or use another elastic.If you need a quick fix, pin the braid back from your face.Bring the ends of the braid behind your head and under your hair to make a headband.They need to be tied together with an elastic.

Step 9: It was finished.
