How To Make a Tornado Using Dry Ice

Dry ice is called solid carbon dioxide because it doesn't melt into a liquid when it's heated.Instead of melting, it becomes a gas.The gas can make it look like a tornado.Making a tornado using dry ice is an exciting demonstration that can be used to set up for a science fair, to do in science class, or just to learn more about tornadoes. You can learn how to make one step-by-step.

Step 1: You can cut and slit the paper box.

Cut the front face of the box using the extract-o blade. The fan should be a bit smaller if you open the top.Cut the sides and back. The cut bigger than the plastic container should be made at the bottom of the box.

Step 2: Black paint can be used to paint the inside of a box.

Step 3: The box should be dry for about an hour.

Step 4: The front of the box has clear plastic.

It will be easy to see when the tornado starts.Air can flow through the nearby slot if it's open.

Step 5: Attach the tap-light to the inside of the box.

It makes it easier to see the demonstration and tornado.

Step 6: If you have attached the light to the box, turn it on.

Step 7: Turn the fan on by placing it on the top of the box.

The wind should be blowing.

Step 8: The dry ice should be put into the container.

Step 9: The warm water should be poured over the dry ice.

Step 10: The tornado chamber should be placed over the container.

Step 11: Understand how it works and enjoy it.

The fan pushes air out of the chamber. The air coming out of the box is forced in through the slit on the sides, creating a spiral of air. When wind is different directions, real tornadoes form by using updrafts and wind-shear.
