How To Make an App Folder on Android with Nova Launcher
Nova Launcher is a way to personalize the appearance of your phone.The app replaces your home screen with one you can personalize.Features include icons, color themes, layout, app management, and more.There is a feature that allows the user to make custom folders on their Home screens.
Step 1: Don't use your default launcher.
This will stop your stock launcher from taking over.Go to the "APPS" section of your device's settings menu.When you see your default app, tap on it.Depending on your phone's manufacturer, the default launcher varies.Go to "Defaults" and then tap "Clear Defaults."
Step 2: Return to the home screen.
Press the "Home" button on your device to do this.You will be asked to choose a launcher.
Step 3: You can choose "Nova Launcher" as your default launcher.
When you're asked to identify a default launcher, tap on "Nova Launcher" to choose it.
Step 4: Go to "Nova settings."
If you want to do this, you can either tap on the Options menu in the upper right of your home screen or in your app drawer.Nova Prime is needed to make folders in your app drawer.
Step 5: To set the Nova App Drawer, tap "Drawer"
When you see "Drawer Groups", scroll down and tap it.The "+add" button can be found in the upper right corner.You can type the name of the group you want to add to.On the newly created folder, tap on it.If you want to include the apps in the folder, tick the ones on your app list.
Step 6: An app can be dragged on to another app.
Hold the app on the Home screen until you are able to move it.If you want to be in the same folder, drag it onto another app.There will be a folder containing the two apps.
Step 7: The folder should be renamed.
The folder's name can be changed with a tap.
Step 8: There are more apps to add.
To add more apps, drag and drop them onto the folder.
Step 9: You should change your folder settings.
The Nova settings app allows you to change the color and layout of your folders.To open your app drawer, tap Nova settings, and then tap the folders option.The preview icons can be changed by tapping "Folder Preview".You can change the shape of the background by tapping on it.By tapping "Background", you can change the background color.You can change the name of the app by using "Label Icons".The label color can be changed by tapping on it.Toggling label shadows is done by checking the "Label Shadows" box.
