It's easy to make applesauce at home and you can have it whenever you need it.Before adding all of the ingredients to a pot, you need to cook the apples and lemon until they are tender. If you want your applesauce to be ready to use and enjoy, puree the apples until they reach your desired consistency.
Step 1: The apples should be removed.
Go around the circular shape from the top of the apple to the bottom. There is a thin layer of peel. The apple peel can be removed with a paring knife.
Step 2: Cut apples into quarters.
Put apples on a chopping board. To cut apples, use a paring knife.Put the apples on the board and slice them in half to make quarters.
Step 3: The apples have to be cored.
Place apples on a chopping board.Remove the seeds and tough core from the corner.
Step 4: 2 strips of lemon.
Start at the top of the lemon and peel it.Don't peel away at the flesh.
Step 5: Put all of the ingredients in a pot.
Put the apple quarters and lemon strips in a pot.Add lemon juice, cinnamon, white sugar, and salt to the pot, along with a cup of water.Make sure the ingredients are easy to fit into the pot.You need to squeeze the lemon to get the juice.
Step 6: The ingredients should be brought to a boil.
The stove top should be adjusted to a high heat.Wait until the liquid starts to bubble. As you bring it to a boil, stir the ingredients occasionally with a wooden spoon.
Step 7: Put the ingredients in a pot for 15-20 minutes.
The pot should be covered with the lid if you want to reduce the heat. The apples will be fully cooked once the ingredients are cooked through.Once the apples are ready, take the pot off the stove.Continue to stir the ingredients as they cook.To check if the apples are cooked, remove a piece from the pot and make sure it is soft enough to slice.
Step 8: The lemons need to be removed from the pot.
The lemon peels can be found by mixing the ingredients. These can be taken away from the rest of the ingredients with either a wooden spoon or tongs.
Step 9: The mashed ingredients can be used to make applesauce.
Use a potato masher to beat the ingredients.Continue mashing until there are some apples left. You don't have to wait for the mixture to cool before mashing it.
Step 10: Make a smooth applesauce by pureeing the ingredients.
You can use either a standing or stick blender.Continue pureeing until there are no apples left.If you use a stick blender, you can puree the ingredients in the pot.In small batches, puree the ingredients.Don't fill the bowl above the halfway mark, and remove the cap.As you blend, cover the cap hole with a kitchen towel. This doesn't let the pressure build up because the ingredients will be hot.You don't need to blend in batches if you wait for the mixture to cool.
Step 11: Store the applesauce in a container for a couple of weeks.
Allow the applesauce to cool before putting it in a container. The container should be in the refrigerator. If you want to freeze the applesauce, place it in a jar with at least 1 in ( 2.5 cm) high of space above it, as it will expand. The applesauce can be kept in the freezer for a year. You can make serving size portions by freezing the applesauce in ice cube trays.
