You can personalize your gift with gift tags.You can either match them to the gift bag or the person's tastes.You can make your own beautiful, unique gift tags with just a few items and a little creativity.
Step 1: Good quality images with no text or writing on them can be found.
The images need to be clear and sharp.The palm of your hand should be the size of the image.It can be a contained image or part of a larger picture.This method can also be used to work on other types of paper, such as printed images, photographs, and even wrapping paper.
Step 2: Use a pair of scissors to cut the image.
Cut out the entire box if the image is already in it.If the image is part of a larger picture, cut it out.
Step 3: You can paste the cut out image onto a sheet of paper.
The image should be placed on a sheet of paper.Put glue on the back of the image.Then, press the picture against the sheet of paper.To get rid of bubbles, smooth the image out.A glue stick is the best type of glue for this.You can spray or use rubber cement.If you are using liquid glue, apply a thin layer of white or clear-drying glue with a paint brush.
Step 4: Remove the pasted image.
You can follow the original shape if your image has an irregular shape.You can cut a new shape around it.Your gift tag design will include the original color of the cardstock.If your image is square, use a pair of zigzag scissors to cut it out.
Step 5: The gift tag has a message on it.
You can either use the standard message or create your own."Doting Date," "Beautiful Daughter," or "Wonderful Son" are examples of personalized names.You can write the appropriate greeting if it is near a holiday or special occasion.
Step 6: A hole can be punched through the top of the gift tag.
It's important that you don't punch through your message.
Step 7: Attach a piece of string to your finger.
You can use twine, ribbon, yard, or metallic thread.
Step 8: The string should be Threaded through the tag.
Pull the piece of string together.To create a small loop, poke the folded end through the punched hole.To tighten the knot, tug on the two loose ends of the string.
Step 9: Attach the tag to your gift.
Simply tie the two loose ends of the string around the bag.Stick self-adhesive labels to the back of the gift tag.The back of the gift tag will be more fancy.
Step 10: There is a pretty image on the front of the greeting card.
Rather than using the entire card, you will cut smaller shapes out of it.
Step 11: There is a shape on the card.
You can use any shape you want.You can use punches to make fancy shapes.The tag should not be larger than the palm of your hand.If you want to make a standard gift tag shape, cut a rectangle out first.Cut the corners off of one of the narrow ends to form a point.To make a folded tag, cut out a square shape and align one of its edges with the folded part of the card.
Step 12: The tag should be embellished further.

Step 14: The gift tag has a hole in it.

Any type of string will work.For something more rustic, you can use yarn or twine.If the tag is fancy, you can use ribbon or metallic thread.
Step 16: Attach the string through the hole.
The string should be folded in half.A small loop is created by poking the folded end through the hole.Go through the loop with the two loose ends of the string.To tighten the knot, tug on the loose ends.
Step 17: Attach the tag to the gift.
The string should be tied around the handle of the bag.
Step 18: Find some colorful paper.
You can either use a blank sheet of paper and decorate it later, or you can print out a pretty image.Feed the paper one sheet at a time through your printer, or it will get stuck if you do that.
Step 19: A shape can be cut out of the paper.
You can make any shape you want, such as a heart, circle, or square.You can cut them out with a puncher or by hand.If you want to make a standard gift tag shape, cut a rectangle out first.Cut the corners off of one of the narrow ends to form a point.To make a folded tag from a sheet of paper, you need to cut out a rectangle first, then fold it in half.If you want to print out images, cut them out.Feed the paper one sheet at a time.
Step 20: Let the tag dry before continuing.
You can decorate it however you want, but you should match it to the gift bag, the holiday or event, or the recipient's own tastes.If you know the gift recipient likes cats, you can draw a cat on the tag.You can draw designs with metallic pens or glitter glue.Glue on small objects.Use washi tape around the edges of a square or rectangular card to create a fancy border.Attach the holiday, season, or event stickers.If the tag is for a birthday gift, you can use candle- or balloon-shaped stickers.
Step 21: A layer tag is a good idea.

Wrap the two loose ends of the string around the handle of a gift bag or ribbon that is wrapped around a present, and tie them into a tight knot.
