Kids of all ages can make leaf prints. They are a great way to enhance gift wrap, cards and other paper crafts. You get two activities in one in that you'll need to take a nature walk and collect leaves of all shapes and sizes.Leave the leaves for your craft projects.
Step 1: Pick leaves that are still fresh.
When pressed or worked on, dried leaves will snap and fall.Make sure the leaves are dry.
Step 2: You can protect your work surface by laying newspapers down.
Step 3: Pick out a piece of paper for your print.
A little paint can be squeezed onto a small plate.
Step 4: The leaf should be painted with paint.
Place the leaf on a kitchen paper towel and use a small paint roller to paint over it.Make sure the leaf is completely covered.
Step 5: If you flip the leaf paint side down, it will fall onto the paper.
Carefully but firmly press on the leaf to make sure it comes into contact with the paper.
Step 6: You should have a printed mirror image of your leaf if you remove the leaf from the paper.
Step 7: Go back and forth between the same leaf and different leaves.
The leaf can be used up to six times. You can use leaves to make a pattern for gift paper, cards, a painting, or any other paper craft project.Add more leaves in different colors.
