How To Make Someone Feel Like a String Is Being Pulled from Their Hand
Kids can play this trick on their friends. To make this trick work, you need to convince your friend that it will work. They need to clench their fist and rub their fingers to start the trick.Pretend to pull a string out of their hand.Your friend will feel like he is pulling a string if you are lucky.
Step 1: Tell your friend that the trick will work.
Explain to your friend that the motions you are about to perform will make them feel like a string is being pulled from their hand, even though it isn't there.A lot of this trick is mental, so you really have to project confidence if you want to speak without a doubt.Use big words to make your explanation more convincing.
Step 2: Ask your friend to hit their fist on the ground.
The importance of squeezing their fist is emphasized.Just to drive the point home, ask them to do it harder once or twice. If your friend has long nails, don't make them clench their hand very hard.
Step 3: Rub their fist with your fingers.
As you peel off the sticky substance from their fist, rub your fingers over it.Be firm but gentle. As you do this, count to 30 out loud.It will make the process more like a ritual. It's important to remember that the point is to convince your friend that this will work.
Step 4: Ask your friend to open their fist slowly.
There is no such thing as too slow here. They should be reminded to slow down if they move too quickly. If they don't feel anything, tell them the trick will only work if they do not rush it.If their hand is open, flip it over so their palms face up.
Step 5: Put your finger over their fingers.
Slowly run your finger up the length of their fingers, starting at the center of the palm.Stay focused and solemn as you do this. The tips of their fingers can be squeezed as an alternative.
Step 6: Pull a string out of their hand.
There is no space between your thumb and index fingers.Place these fingers on your friend's palm and drag them towards the middle in a pinching motion.Slowly lift your fingers into the air above their palms. If you want to pull it off smoothly, you need to practice this motion on your own hand a few times.
Step 7: You can respond to your friend's reaction.
They will look surprised, gasp, or make an exclamation if the trick works. In an expectant voice, you can ask, "Do you feel that?" if they don't seem to react.Mention that it doesn't always work on everyone, and suggest that they may have opened their fist too quickly, or not clenched it tight enough in the first place. If this trick doesn't work the first time, try on a few other friends.
