If you don't like thecaveman look or just want to have more control over your style, grab some grooming tools and get to work!Manscaping is the process of removing unwanted body hair to improve your appearance and achieve a more clean-cut look.Manscaping often involves trimming and/or shaving hair from your chest, back, shoulders, underarms, pubic region, and anywhere else you need a bit of grooming.
Step 1: You need to tidy up your eyebrows.
Any eyebrow hairs that are longer than the rest should be trimmed with a pair of grooming scissors.Tweezers can be used to remove hairs that are outside of your eyebrows. Before trimming your eyebrows, comb through them to make sure they are not bushy. If you wet your fingers, you can smooth the eyebrows into place. If you want to further thin out your eyebrows, you can keep plucking. You can use the grooming scissors that come with the kit.You wouldn't use the full-size scissors for a haircut.
Step 2: Cut any ear hairs.
If you have stray hairs growing off of your ear, you can either remove them with tweezers or cut them down with grooming scissors.Pull each hair taut with the tweezers, then hold the scissors parallel to the flesh of your ear, and cut the hair off at the base.Tweezers can be used to remove visible hairs from your ear canal. You can reduce the pain by gripping the hair shaft firmly with your tweezers and pulling quickly and firmly.Scissors or sharp objects shouldn't be put into your ears.Only hairs from the inside of your ear can be plucked.
Step 3: Instead of plucking nose hairs, trim them.
Pull the nose hairs taut with your tweezers, then hold the scissors parallel to your nostril opening, and cut each hair off as short as you can.Don't put the scissors in your nose to trim the hairs. If you have a bleeding nose, don't remove hairs from it.You can buy an electric nose hair trimmer. You'll stick the rounded trimmer into each nostril if you turn it on.Don't stick it too far up your nose. There are rogue hairs on the top and side of your nose.
Step 4: You can shave or trim your facial hair.
If you want a clean-shaven look, use a manual razor. If you want to soften your skin, wash your face and then massage it with shaving cream. You can wash the blade with clean water if you shave in the direction of hair growth. If you want to finish, rinse your face with cool water, pat it dry, and apply an aftershave lotion or balm.Every time you shave, use a clean razor. If the blade is dull, it's time to replace it.If you want to keep a clean beard, use a grooming trimmer. If you want to glide the trimmer over your facial hair, you need to adjust the blade setting. If you have sensitive skin on your face that gets easily irritated by shaving, keep in mind that the same will happen if you shave other areas of your body. You might want to trim your hair instead of shaving it.
Step 5: If you have to, shave the front and back of your neck.
If you're shaving your face, make sure to put the front of your neck in the process. It can be difficult to shave the back of your neck.Either use a handheld mirror in one hand and the razor in the other, or find someone who is willing to give you a quick neck shave. If you want to shave your back, you can include the back of your neck.
Step 6: If you want a less drastic change from your natural look, trim your chest hair.
While you can shave your chest completely, you may prefer to just trim your hair with a grooming trimmer. You can glide the trimmer down your chest if you set it to the desired length. If you don't have a chiseled look, trimming your chest hair may be your preference.
Step 7: If you want to highlight your pecs, shave your chest hair completely.
You can shorten your chest hair by using a grooming trimmer.Follow the same procedure you use for shaving your face, including showering to open your pores, massage in shaving cream, use a clean, sharp razor, and rinse the razor often.Your chest muscles will be more noticeable if you have less hair on your chest. If you have been working on building up your pecs, you should shave them off.
Step 8: If you want to remove back hair, shave it or wax it.
If you want a sleek look, you should remove all the hair from your back.It is more difficult if you don't have a helpers. If you can get your significant other or friend to shave your back, use standard razor procedures.Stand with your back to the mirror and hold a mirror in your hand if you want to shave alone.Use the mirrors to watch as you use the extender to guide your razor over your back.If a friend does the job, you'll get a better shave. If you want to have your hair removed, you can go to a salon.Pull out stray hairs on the tops of your shoulders.
Step 9: To get rid of your hair, cut it back.
If your arm hair is not visible when you have your arms to your sides, you can leave it alone. To shorten the hair to the desired length, use a grooming trimmer or grooming scissors.Unless you are shaving your hair completely, it is probably best to leave it as long as you can.The hair will be uncomfortable if not removed.
Step 10: If you prefer, you can trim or shave your arms and legs.
The part of the manscaping routine that comes down to personal preference. You may want to leave it alone if you have thin or fair arm and leg hair. You can either trim it down to 0.125 in or shave it off completely if it is thick or dark. You can trim arm and leg hair with a grooming trimmer. You can shave your arms and legs using the same razor techniques.
Step 11: If you have long hairs on your toes or fingers, use grooming scissors.
If the knuckles on the backs of your fingers and toes have a hairy appearance, trim the hair down to 0.25 in with grooming scissors. This area is easy to overlook.
Step 12: No matter your strategy, pull the skin taut.
You should always keep in mind that you are dealing with skin that is extra sensitive and often thinner than elsewhere. You can use your free hand to pull the skin taut.If you are grooming the hair on your scrotum, this is important.Keep a good set of grooming clippers according to the instructions.Make sure your razor is sharp as well. You can use the same techniques on your body.
Step 13: Even if you plan on shaving, start with a trimmer.
You can use the trimmer to cut pubic hair. You can either leave it trimmed for a sculpted look, move on to shaving it, or try a part trimmed and part shaved combination.Personal preference is what determines pubic hair styles. The less hair you should keep, the more interested you are in highlighting your package.
Step 14: If you want, you can shave with a sharp razor and lots of shaving cream.
If you want to shave your pubic hair, trim it to 0.125 in or less first. The long, dense, curly hairs will get caught in your razor and you will end up yanking them out.Warm water, lots of shaving cream, short strokes in the direction of hair growth, and a cool water rinse are some of the proper shaving strategies.Don't skimp on the product.Your skin is sensitive in this area.If needed, apply the aftershave again a few days later.
Step 15: Your perineum should be trimmed or shaved as well.
There is a hard to see area between your scrotum and anus.Any hair on your perineum will become more noticeable if you trim or shave it in your groin area. It's best to cut it back to the same length as the hair in your groin area. There is no easy way to reach this area.Standing up or sitting on the edge of the tub, toilet, or bench is best for you.If you are standing or sitting, spread out your legs and use your free hand to lift your scrotum out of the way and pull the perineum skin taut.
Step 16: If you have hair on your backside, use an Epilator.
If you have gone to all the trouble of manscaping everywhere else, you don't want your hair growing out of your butt crack. This isn't an ideal place for a razor.Epilators are handheld devices that grab and pull out hairs at the same time.It will hurt a little, but remind yourself that it will complete your look.Epilators can be found at major retailers. They're great for manscaping because they are located with women's razors and trimmers.
