How to mount a Panasonic TC-P50S1 on a wall.
Is this a good wallmount for the TC-P50S1?I can't find any information about the layout it uses.
You will be fine.I have never had any problems with standard mounts fitting, and the 50S1 mounts should be almost the same as my 46U1.
Thanks. The four screw mounts built into the lower portion of the TV don't look like the VESA mount holes. Is that what you have on your vehicle?
Thank you, Akula. The four screw mounts built into the lower portion of the TV don't look like the VESA mount holes. That's not right, is that what you have on your 46U1?There are people on the stand. There are four large holes with caps on them. All of the panny plasmas I've mounted have wall mount holes. If you're unsure, take a picture and I'll highlight them for you.
There are four large holes that might have caps on them. The stand has it sitting on it.
There are four large holes that might have caps on the bac, that is what I'm talking about.Use those when it is sitting on the stand. The screws you need to use will come with your mount.
The mounting frame should never be in contact with the backside of the TV, if it has contact outside the four mounting points. The Panasonic wall mount kits have very specific instructions on how to mount them.
They weren't big enough to fit.The screws were almost covered by the smallest of the spacers. There is plenty of room inside for the screws, and I don't see how it could have contact with the glass.
The spacers weren't big enough to fit.The screws were almost covered by the smallest of the spacers. He didn't say the screws would hit the glass, but he said that contact with the mount in any location can cause internal tension great enough. As the TV isn't touching anything except the 4 screws, you're probably fine.
The mounting frame can in worst case cause tensions high enough to crack the glass, if it has contact outside.Panasonic only supports mounting with Panasonic wall mount kits and the instruction included is very specific on this.I've mounted many of them and never used standoffs on the mounts.Stand offs are needed for sets with curved backs. You're putting more stress on the mounts.
Instructions to my wall mount kit had instructions about being careful and the thread a read before posting here was about a cracked panel.
