If you want to place the lilies in other parts of the garden, it's a good idea to know how to move them.
Step 1: Late summer and early to mid-autumn are when to wait.
This is a good time to change this variety of lilies.The leaves on the plant should have died off.The bulbs are not moving.
Step 2: Lift the clump out of the ground.
Move the rest of the place to their new homes in the garden.
Step 3: Replant.
Two-thirds of the bulb should be placed under the ground when the bulbs are returned.
Step 4: A new flower.
They won't flower the next season.The bulb may need time to recover from the disruption.Either the next year or the one following will see the return of flowers.
Step 5: The leaves of the lilies need to die off.
It will be late spring or early summer.After the leaves are gone a shoot will appear very quickly.
Step 6: Lift the clump out of the ground.
